レアル・マドリーに所属するブラジル代表FWロドリゴ・ゴエス(21)が、キャプテンからの言葉を明かした。スペイン『マルカ』が伝えた。

2019年7月にサントスからマドリーへと加入したロドリゴ。在籍3年間で公式戦108試合に出場し18ゴール21アシストを記録している。

3年目の今シーズンは特に飛躍。公式戦49試合で9ゴール10アシスト。チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)準決勝2ndレグではチームを敗退から救うゴールを決めるなど、重要な局面で結果を残している。

ブラジル代表としてもここまで5試合で1ゴール。セレソンでのキャリアはこれからになるが、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)での活躍も期待される1人だ。

そのロドリゴだが、ブラジル代表の先輩であり10番を背負うFWネイマール(パリ・サンジェルマン)からの言葉を明かし、10番を託されることになると語った。

「ネイマールは僕に言ったんだ。『僕は代表チームを去る。10番は君のものだ』とね。僕はなんて言って良いかわからなかったよ」

「恥ずかしかったし、笑って、自分をうまく表現できなかったんだ。感動で口籠ってしまったよ」

「そして『もう少し代表でプレーする必要があるから、今10番を継承するつもりはないよ』と言ってきたんだ。彼は爆笑していたよ」

冗談半分ながらも、カタールW杯後にブラジル代表から引退する可能性を示唆したネイマール。10番を誰が受け継ぐのか。そしてネイマールが最後になるかもしれないW杯で結果を残せるのか注目だ。
