元ブラジル代表MFのゼ・ロベルト氏が現役引退後も引き締まった肉体を維持する秘訣を明かした。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。ゼ・ロベルト氏は、レアル・マドリーやレバークーゼン、バイエルン、ハンブルガーSVなどヨーロッパでプレー。その他にも、ウルグアイのナシオナルや母国のポルトゥゲーザ、フラメンゴ、サントス、グレミオ、パウメイラスでもプレーした。
ブンデスリーガで336試合に出場し39ゴール97アシスト、カンピオナート・ブラジレイロ・セリエAでも155試合に出場し9ゴール22アシストを記録。また、ブラジル代表としても84試合に出場し6ゴールを記録し、1998年、2006年と2度ワールドカップにも出場していたが、2017年11月に43歳で現役を引退した。
引退後もトレーニングを続け、自身のSNSで鋼の肉体を披露していたゼ・ロベルト氏がその理由を語っている。
「私はもうサッカー選手ではないが、自分の健康と体には気を配り続けている。クリーンで健康的な生活を送ることは、次世代の人々や選手たちに残すことのできる素晴らしい遺産だ。それは私にとってとても重要なことなんだ」
「トレーニングを辞めたことは一度もないんだ。もし僕が今、(マンチェスター・)シティのシャツを着ていたら、今のコンディションと彼らのプレースタイルのおかげで、簡単にセントラルMFでプレーできると思う」
もちろん冗談半分の発言ではあるが、左ウイングを本職としながらボランチとしてブラジル代表に定着し、左サイドバックでもプレーできたオールラウンダーのゼ・ロベルト氏であれば、ジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督に重宝されたかもしれない。

ゼ・ロベルトやアドリアーノにカレカも、ジーコ主催のレジェンドマッチが2年ぶりに開催、本人もピッチに立つ

47歳になっても“バキバキボディ”のゼ・ロベルトが自信「今でもシティでプレーできる」

クラブの怠慢が自殺の要因に? シティが退団する若手への適切なサポートをしなかったと遺族が主張
