鹿島アントラーズでテクニカルダイレクター(TD)を務めていたジーコ氏(68)が、自身の主催するレジェンドマッチに出場を果たした。"Jogo das Estrelas"と題されるレジェンドマッチは、ジーコ氏が中心となって催され、毎年の恒例行事となっていた。だが、昨年は新型コロナウイルス感染症(Covid-19)の影響により中止に。今季は開催可能となり、会場はマラカナンではなく、リオ・デ・ジャネイロのゴヴェルナドール島にあるルゾ・ブラジレイロスタジアムで、28日に行われた。

約4000人の観衆が見守る中、元ブラジル代表の面々がずらり。MFゼ・ロベルトやDFアチルソン、FWアドリアーノにFWカレカらが終結した。
ジーコ氏も時間限定ながら赤いユニフォームを着てピッチに登場。5分間のみのプレーとなったが、交代の際には会場から惜しみない拍手が送られた。

ジーコ氏は大会での写真を自身のインスタグラムに投稿。「もっとプレーできたらよかったけど」と前置きをしつつ、参加したファンや選手、開催に尽力した各関係者への感謝を綴っている。
「もちろんもっとプレーできたらよかったのですが、エースやアーティストを間近で見た人たちや長年の放送パートナーであるSportvで観た人たちにとっては、美しいパーティーの再開となったでしょう」

W杯初の悲劇を味わった、世界を魅了した“ファンタジスタ”ロベルト・バッジョ

藤尾のPK水かけで思い出したジーコの唾吐き事件/六川亨の日本サッカーの歩み

8月17日に行なわれたJ1リーグ第27節の町田対磐田戦(4-0)、町田の3点リードで迎えた後半13分、FW藤尾翔太が自ら獲得したPKのキッカーを務めた。その際に藤尾は手にしたボールにペットボトルの水をかけると、それを見た主審は濡れたボールを交換。藤尾は不満気なそぶりを見せつつ、PKをしっかり決めて今シーズン9点目をマークした。 このプレーについては試合後に色々な意見が元Jリーガーから出されたが、個人的には「アンフェアなプレー」として主審は口頭で注意して、それでも同じ行為を繰り返したら警告にすべきだと思っている。ルールにないとはいえ、自分が有利になるようにする行為であり、「フェアプレーの精神」から逸脱していると思うからだ。 元々PKはキッカーが圧倒的に有利だ。GKもグローブに唾を吐いて粘着力を高めようとしているという意見もあるだろう。しかしPKをキャッチしようとするGKはほとんどいないし、効果があるとも思えない。ところがキッカーからすれば、ボールに水をかける行為は試合前にボールの“走り"をよくするために散水するのと同じ効果を期待できる。バウンドさせれば球速はより高まるだろう。 ロングスローの際にボールをタオルで拭くシーンもお馴染みだが、こちらは滑ってファウルスローになるリスクを減らすためだ。PKの際にボールに水をかけて滑りをよくしようとするのは、試合中の不可抗力な要素以外で利益を得ようとする行為に他ならない。とはいえ何もかもルールで明文化するのも味気ない。選手の“良識"を信じ、お互い“フェアプレーの精神"でプレーするのがサッカーの基本ではないだろうか。 そんな藤尾のプレーを見て思い出したのが、93年のJリーグ・サントリーチャンピオンシップ第2戦(実際は94年に開催)、ジーコの“唾吐き"事件だった。 ヴェルディが先勝(2-0)して迎えた第2戦、アントラーズはアルシンドのゴールで先制したものの、ヴェルディが試合終了8分前にPKを獲得する。キッカーはカズ。彼がPKを蹴ろうとすると、ジーコはボールに歩み寄って唾を吐いのである。前代未聞の行為に高田静夫主審は2枚目のイエローカードでジーコを退場処分にしたのだった。 試合後のジーコは主審もヴェルディ寄りの判定だったと怒りを表したが、国立競技場の記者席から見ていてジーコの怒りはもっともだと納得した記者も多かった。それというのも、PKにつながった反則は「オブストラクション」だったからだ。「確かオブストラクションの反則は間接FKで再開のはず」――それがPKになったのだから、ジーコならずともヴェルディ寄りのジャッジではないかと疑ってしまった。 ところが試合後、ルールが変更されていたことを知る。「オブストラクションの反則は、主審の判断で直接FK扱いにすることもできる」というのだ。ルールに精通していたジーコだからこそ怒りを露わにしたのかもしれないが、さすがに変更されていたことは知らなかったようだ。 ちなみにPKを誘う突破を図った選手は誰だか知っているだろうか。まったく記憶にないので調べてみたら、パウロ・ロドリゲス・バルクというブラジル人選手で、93年9月に入団したものの出場機会がなく帰国。チャンピオンシップ2試合のために急きょ再来日した選手だった。しかし94年も4試合に出場しただけで7月に退団していた。どうりで記憶にないわけだ。 2024.08.27 21:15 Tue

“サッカーの神様”と呼ばれたジーコ、W杯での輝きと苦しみ

ネイマールが生後2カ月の娘と元交際相手と再会、破局後も父親として子育てに関わる

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?
