フランスは10日に行われたUEFAネーションズリーグ・ファイナルズ決勝でスペイン代表と対戦。ベルギー代表との準決勝に続いて、先制を許したが、2-1の逆転勝利を収め、2018年のロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)に続くタイトルを獲得した。そんなフランスを優勝に導いたひとりが66分に同点弾をマークしたベンゼマ。決勝のマン・オブ・ザ・マッチに輝いたレアル・マドリーの主砲は試合後、『M6』で代表から長らく遠ざかる時期もあった自身にとっての代表初タイトルに歓喜した。

「夢のような夜だね。個人的にも、チーム的にも。僕はフランス代表の一員として、トロフィーが欲しかった。簡単なことじゃなかったが、このチームが持つキャラクターの力強さを示せたと思う」

「僕らは絶対に諦めたりなんてしなかった。決してパニックにならず、我慢できるのは偉大なチームの証。僕らは2ゴールを決めて、逆転したんだ。この経験もフル活用して、W杯の準備を進めていきたいね…そして、優勝を目指す!」

また、自身のゴール右上隅に決めた中に仕掛けてからの右足シュートを振り返り、実力だけでなく、運もあってのゴールだったと述べている。

「普段だと、あのポジションからカットインして低い弾道のシュートを打つようにしている。ああいうゴールを決めるときは常にツキも必要。スパイクから離れた瞬間に入るとわかったが、トップコーナーに決まるとはね」

「誰か説明してくれ」なぜ風船!? エンクンクのゴールパフォにファンも困惑「CLで最もユニークな1つ」

「鶏デカすぎ」「ケンタッキーとのコラボか?」フランス代表の新ユニフォームにはビッグサイズのロゴが採用「巨大すぎない?」

「ほぼマトリックス」「インパクトすごい」フランス代表DFクンデ、全身黒の私服コーデが話題沸騰!「オシャレすぎて真似できない」
