現在、リオデジャネイロ州の上院議員を務めるロマーリオ氏は、木曜日に首都南部のコパカバーナにあるコパ・スター病院に入院し、胆のうを取り除く緊急手術を受けたとのこと。
なお、ロマーリオ氏が所属する政党のスポークスマンは、同氏の公式ツイッター(@RomarioOnze)を通じて以下のように声明を発表した。
｢ロマーリオ上院議員は、今週の木曜日に胆嚢を取り除く手術を受けました。手術は無事に成功し、ロマーリオはすでに病室に戻り、経過観察中だ。数日中に退院する予定となっている｣
