新型コロナウイルス(COV ID-19)の影響で制限がかかり、多くの観客の前で披露できていないビッグイヤー。チェルシーは、8月4日に行われるトッテナムとの親善試合を前に、お披露目のパレードを実施するとのこと。スタンフォード・ブリッジに満員近くの観客を迎えて実施される。
このイベントではピッチ上で選手たちがトロフィーを掲げ、ピッチサイドではCL制覇についての質疑応答コーナーも設けられる。
また、「マインドシリーズ」と称されたチェルシー、トッテナム、アーセナルの3つのロンドンのクラブからなるこのチャリティイベントは、チケット1枚につき5ポンド(約760円)がメンタルヘルスの慈善団体「Mind」及び各クラブの財団に寄付される。

アーセナル、今季3rdユニフォームは緑!80年代意識のレトロスタイル

18歳の若さでこの世を去ったバラック氏の次男に、パートナーが哀悼のメッセージ

チェルシー経営陣の間で“内紛”か…主要株主クリアレイクとベーリー氏に緊張関係
チェルシーの経営陣の間で“内紛”が起きているようだ。 ロマン・アブラモビッチ前体制で多くのタイトルを獲得し、メガクラブの仲間入りを果たしたチェルシー。しかし、ロシアによるウクライナへの軍事侵攻をきっかけに、ロシアのウラジーミル・プーチン大統領との近しい関係を理由にイギリス国内での資産凍結を余儀なくされた前オーナーはクラブ売却を決断。 その後、2022年5月にクラブはカリフォルニアを拠点とするプライベートエクイティ会社『クリアレイク・キャピタル』と、トッド・ベーリー氏が率いるコンソーシアム『BlueCo』によって総額42億ポンド(約7850億円)と言われる金額で買収された。 その新体制では2年ちょっとで10億ポンド(約1870億円)を移籍市場に投下し、5人の指揮官の下で一進一退の戦いが続いている。 そんななか、新生ブルーズに関してアメリカ『ブルームバーグ』はクリアレイクとベーリー氏の間で、互いの株式を買収する選択肢を検討しているとの“内紛”を示唆する報道が出た。 現在、チェルシーの株式はクリアレイクが61.54%を所有し、残りの38.46%をベーリー氏、マーク・ウォルター氏、ハンスイェルク・ウィス氏のBlueCoの面々が所有している。 報道によると、クリアレイクの共同創設者であるベフダド・エグバリ氏とベーリー氏の間ではクラブ運営に関する考え方に大きな相違があり、その関係が冷え込んでいるという。 ただ、『ESPN』などの後追い取材においては両者の間に緊張が走っていることは間違いないが、互いにスタンフォード・ブリッジで長期的な安定を提供することにのみ注力していると、両者は依然としてプロフェッショナルな関係を維持していると報じている。 一方、イギリス『テレグラフ』は前述の報道とは異なる以下の可能性を伝えている。 ベーリー氏が率いるBlueCoはクラブの完全買収に必要な25億ポンド以上の資金を提供するリソースを持っていると言われているが、クリアレイクは現時点で株式を売却しないと断固として主張しているという。 また、クリアレイクはチェルシーへの投資を10年以上のコミットメントと見なしている一方、ベーリー氏はロンドンのクラブに対するビジョンを20年から30年かけて描いている。 さらに、クリアレイクとベーリー氏は、どちらかが株式を売りに出した場合、同額の権利とブロッキングオプションを持っているという。 そして、クラブの方向性と文化をめぐって利害関係者の間には和解不可能とみられる相違があり、所有権の状況に変化がなければ、ピッチ内外でブルーズに甚大な損害を与える可能性のある内戦勃発の危険性を主張している。 2024.09.08 08:30 Sun
