ポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドの試合後の行動に注目が集まっている。

ユーロ2016王者として連覇を懸けて今大会に臨んだポルトガルだが、FIFAランキング1位のベルギー代表との一戦となったラウンド16では、最後まで1点が遠く0-1で敗れ、連覇はならなかった。

この試合にキャプテンとしてフル出場したC・ロナウドだったが、タイムアップの笛を聞くと悔しさを露わに。腕に巻いていたキャプテンマークをピッチへと叩きつけた。

怒りが収まらないC・ロナウドは、ドレッシングルームへと戻る最中にも再びキャプテンマークを地面へと軽く投げつけ、弾んだ腕章を蹴り飛ばす姿が伝えられている。

C・ロナウドと言えば、3月に行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選のセルビア代表戦で試合終了間際にゴールが認められず、腕章を投げ捨て、ホイッスルが鳴る前にピッチを去っていったことは記憶に新しい。

その時は同試合の会場に待機していた消防士がたまたま拾い、試合関係者の許可を得た後にチャリティーオークションに出品されていたが、今回はC・ロナウドの近くにいたスタッフが拾って回収していた。

今大会5得点でユーロでの大会通算ゴール記録を塗り替えたC・ロナウドだが、36歳の鉄人にとって最後のユーロとなってしまうのだろうか。
