サウジアラビア人のトルキ・アル=シャイフ氏は、スペイン2部のアルメリアのオーナーを務める人物。かつてエジプトのクラブチームを所有していたが、昨年8月にアルメリアを買収し、セグンダ・ディビシオンで暫定3位につける今季も含め、クラブはここ2シーズンで躍進を続けている。
そんなアル=シャイフ氏が薦める選手は、昨シーズンまで同クラブに在籍していたウルグアイ代表FWダルウィン・ヌニェス(21)だ。昨夏に母国のペニャロールから加入し、リーグ戦で16ゴール3アシストを記録したセンターFWで、ウルグアイではFWエディンソン・カバーニの後継者と称されている。
今夏にベンフィカにステップアップし、ヨーロッパリーグのレフ・ポズナン戦のハットトリックを含めて公式戦14試合で6ゴール6アシストをマークしている。

「女性や子供たちが人質に取られ…」ダルウィン・ヌニェスらが絡む暴力事件にウルグアイサッカー連盟が声明「十分な安全保障メカニズムがなかった」

バルセロナの来日が決定! 7月27日にJ1連覇中の神戸と2023年6月以来2年ぶりの対戦!

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
