マンチェスター・シティに所属するスペイン代表MFロドリゴ・エルナンデスが現代表でのストライカー不在を嘆いた。スペイン『マルカ』が伝えている。

スペインは13日に行われたUEFAネーションズリーグ2020-21リーグA・グループ4第4節でウクライナ代表と対戦。圧倒的に攻め込む展開のなか、合計21本のシュートを浴びせたが、被シュート1本で失点して0-1の敗北を喫した。

7日に行われたポルトガル代表との親善試合(0-0で引き分け)に続いて不発に終わった攻撃陣は公式戦でも4年ぶりの無得点試合を演じてしまう結果に。ロドリは試合後、スペイン『TVE』で敗北を嘆くとともに、決定力不足を悔やんだ。

「難しい相手だとわかっていたけど、負けるとは思わなかったというのが本音。少しゆっくりとした入りだったけど、支配してチャンスを作り続けた。動きが足りなかったよ。この試合から学習しないと。もっとチャンスを効率的に生かしていかないとダメだ」

また、ウクライナの勝利について、スペインの攻撃が不十分だったと述べ、改善の余地を指摘した。

「最終的にボールがゴールに入らないといけない。だから、(ウクライナが)勝ったんだ。(スペインは)ラストパスの精彩を欠いていたし、クロスがほとんど上げられず、フィニッシャーもいなかった。でも、ポジティブな考えをすると、まだ(リーグA・グループ4で)首位に立っていて、成長しているということだ」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

「激アツ」「どっちも可愛い」長谷川唯の“激レア”スペイン代表ユニフォーム姿が話題! イニエスタにも例えられるボンマティの日本代表ユニも話題「なんかエモい」
