マンチェスター・シティのブラジル代表FWガブリエウ・ジェズスが、寄付を行ったようだ。

新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)の感染が急拡大を続けているブラジル。感染者数は1万人を超えている中で、ジェズスは自身が幼少期を過ごしたサンパウロのジャルディムペリ周辺に400人分の食糧をしたとのことだ。

今回の行動は、パルメイラス時代のチームメイトである元ブラジル代表MFゼ・ロベルト氏から委ねられ行なったものだと、ブラジル『グローボ』に明かした。

「ゼ・ロベルトは僕の友人で、常に行動を起こし、常に次の行動を考えている。そして、僕はできる限りいつでも支援したいと思っている」

「多くの人が困難に直面している今、彼は食料を寄付することに挑戦し、僕もそれを受け入れた」

「食糧を僕が育った場所であるジャルディンペリに送ることにした。皆がこの期間を最善の方法で乗り越える手助けになることを願っている」

ジェズスを含め、様々なアスリートが寄付したことで、現在の食料は7トンを超えるほど集まっているようだ。

グリーリッシュが“短すぎる”ソックスの理由を告白、バキバキのふくらはぎは「家系」
