チェルシーとトッテナムがボーンマスの若き守護神に注目!

ボーンマスに所属するU-21イングランド代表GKアーロン・ラムズデール(21)を巡り、チェルシーとトッテナムが火花を散らしているようだ。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が伝えている。

ラムズデールは2017年1月にシェフィールド・ユナイテッドからボーンマスに加入後、出番がなく、チェスターフィールドや、ウィンブルドンに武者修行。しかし、今シーズンから正守護神の座を射止めると、ここまでプレミアリーグ28試合に出場して、ニューカッスルのスロバキア代表GKマルティン・ドゥブラフカ、アーセナルのドイツ代表GKベルント・レノに次いで3番目に多い「102」のセーブ数を記録している。

そんなラムズデールと昨年10月に2024年までの新契約を結び、来シーズンの残留を決め込むボーンマスだが、新たなGK獲得の憶測が取り沙汰されるチェルシーが目を光らせているという。ここ公式戦2試合こそスペイン代表GKケパ・アリサバラガを起用しているチェルシーだが、それまでの公式戦6試合で元アルゼンチン代表GKウィルフレッド・カバジェロへの守護神交代を決行。まだケパに納得しておらず、新たな競争相手としてラムズデールに注目しているようだ。

また、そのラムズデールに対して、チェルシーと同じロンドンクラブであるトッテナムも興味を示している模様。トッテナムにはフランス代表GKウーゴ・ロリスという絶対的守護神がいるが、昨年10月に単年契約で復帰した元オランダ代表GKミシェル・フォルムが今シーズン限りで退団する見込み。そのため、ロリスの競争相手兼バックアップとして、ラムズデールを注視しているものとみられる。

なお、ボーンマスは現在、プレミアリーグ降格圏の18位に位置。このまま降格となれば、ラムズデールの移籍もより現実味を帯びてきそうだが、果たして…。
