アルゼンチンやペルー、チリの複数クラブを指揮したサンパオリ監督は、2012年に就任したチリ代表監督でコパ・アメリカ優勝に導く手腕を高く評価され、2016年にセビージャの監督に就任。2017年にアルゼンチン代表監督として引き抜かれたが、ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)ではベスト16に終わり契約を解除されていた。
そして、今シーズンからサントスを指揮。ブラジル・セリエAでは、22勝8分け8敗の2位となったものの、優勝したフラメンゴとは勝ち点「16」差で2004年以来のリーグ優勝には届かなかった。

マルセイユ、サンパオリ後任はトゥドール氏? 昨季ヴェローナで確かな手腕発揮

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?

ネイマールが「M」の剃り込みを入れた新ヘアスタイルを披露!娘のイニシャルで喜び体現
