セルタの下部組織出身のホセルは、2009年にレアル・マドリーのカスティージャに身を置くものの、トップチームでの出場はわずか1試合のみ。その後はホッフェンハイムやフランクフルト、ハノーファー、ストークなどを転々とし、2017年夏にニューカッスルに加入した。
ニューカッスルでは、在籍2年間で公式戦52試合で7ゴール2アシストをマーク。2018-19シーズンはプレミアリーグ16試合を含む公式戦20試合に出場し3ゴール1アシストを記録した。

レアルがスペイン代表FWホセルをエスパニョールから2.6億円で買い取り! そのままカタールへ売却か
エスパニョールは27日、レアル・マドリーがスペイン代表FWホセル(34)の買い取りオプションを行使したことを発表した。 セルタの下部組織で育ったホセルは、レアル・マドリー・カスティージャに加入。2012年7月にホッフェンハイムへと完全移籍し、ドイツでのキャリアを積む。 フランクフルトやハノーファーでプレーしたのち、ストーク・シティへ完全移籍。デポルティボ・ラ・コルーニャ、ニューカッスル、アラベスでもプレー。2022年7月にエスパニョールに完全移籍で加入した。 2023-24シーズンはマドリーへとレンタル移籍。当初は控えの選手と見られていたが、ラ・リーガで34試合に出場し10ゴール2アシストを記録。チャンピオンズリーグでも11試合で5ゴールを記録するなど、チームの2冠に大きく貢献していた。 ホセルには買い取りオプションが付帯しており、買い取ることは濃厚と見られていた中、カタールからの関心が寄せられている。 マドリーは干せるをエスパニョールから買い取り、その額は150万ユーロ(約2億6000万円)になるとのこと。同額でカタールのアル・ガラファに売却されると見られている。 2024.06.27 23:03 Thu

ニューカッスル新SDはポール・ミッチェル氏に…スパーズやレッドブル、モナコで手腕を発揮

その額シティの10倍以上!ニューカッスルの新オーナーとなったサウジアラビアファンドの資産額が驚き

アーセナルが今夏シンガポールでプレシーズンツアーを実施、ミラン&ニューカッスルと対戦
