バルセロナのスペイン代表FWラミン・ヤマルの飛躍は、たゆまぬ努力の裏付けのようだ。スペイン『AS』が伝えた。
先日フランス・フットボールが発表した2023-24シーズンのバロンドール候補30名、及び21歳以下の若手が対象となるコパ・トロフィー候補10名にダブル選出されたヤマル。8日に行われたUEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)のスイス代表戦でも、突破からのクロスでFWホセルの先制点をアシストした。
そんな驚異の17歳は、7日に刊行されたフランス・フットボールの表紙に。年上とのストリートサッカーや、犬とのドリブルで技術を磨いたことを明かし、「犬との駆け引きほど難しいものはない」と述べている。
一方、バルセロナで主力の座を掴んだ昨シーズンは、筋肉トレーニングの成果も出ていた模様。チャビ・エルナンデス前監督とフィジカルチームは、適度な起用でプレー時間を調整しながらジムには何時間も通わせ、筋肉量は1年で8キロ増加したという。
身長も1年で10cm伸びるなど、フィジカル面の成長が著しいヤマル。今シーズンはすでにラ・リーガの4試合で1ゴール4アシストを記録しているが、どれだけの活躍を見せてくれるのだろうか。

スペインは8日のUEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)・リーグA・グループ4第2節でスイス代表とアウェイで対戦。2-0の20分にロビン・ル・ノルマンの一発退場を余儀なくされ、41分に1点を返されたが、後半に2発で4-1と勝利した。
10人の戦いを見事に勝利で飾ったスペインは0-0に終わったセルビア代表との前節を経て、2戦目で初白星。ルイス・デ・ラ・フエンテ監督はこう振り返る。スペイン『マルカ』が報じた。
「私が誇りたいことがあるとすれば、このチームのスピリットだ。こういう状況であれば、より誇らしく思う。あらゆる意味でチームだ。まさに文字どおりにね。そして、我々はもっと良くなっていくつもりだ。国のために重要なことをしているという興奮、誇り、そして感情。このチームは価値観と努力の一例だ」

レアル・マドリーのスペイン代表MFダニエル・カルバハル(30)が、モデルのダフネ・カニサレスさん(32)と結婚した。
マドリーの育成組織出身の30歳は、2012-13シーズンにレバークーゼンでのプレーを経て、翌年以降はマドリーを支え続けてきた。今季は2シーズンぶり35回目のラ・リーガ制覇や14回目のチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)優勝にも貢献している。
クラブの歴史をまた1つ積み上げたカルバハルは、24日、モデルのダフネ・カニサレスさん(32)と結婚。招かれた約250人の前で愛を誓い合った。式にはチームメイトや関係者などが招かれ、ゲストの中にはベルギー代表GKティボー・クルトワ夫妻の姿もあった。
2人には1歳半になる息子のマルティンくんがいる。スペイン『HOLA』によれば、カニサレスさんは元客室乗務員のオランダ系のスペイン人モデルで、現在は結婚式や社交イベントの企画をする会社のオーナーだ。
また自身もウエディング・プランナーであり、2人の式は彼女が出かけたとのことだ。カニサレスさんには双子の姉妹メラニーさんがおり、アラベスでプレーするFWホセルと結婚している。

レアル・マドリーのイングランド代表MFジュード・ベリンガムが、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)決勝進出を喜んだ。『UEFA.com』が伝えている。
ベリンガムは8日にホームで行われたCL準決勝2ndレグのバイエルン戦で先発。1stレグを2-2で終え、お互い勝利が必要な一戦は、拮抗した展開のままスコア動かずハーフタイムへ。後半、68分に痛恨の失点を許すとそのまま試合終了かに思われた88分、ホセルが相手GKのファンブルを見逃さず同点に追いつくと、アディショナルタイムにはCKの流れから再びホセルに得点が生まれ、劇的逆転勝利となった。
この結果、2戦合計スコアでも4-3となり、マドリーのCL決勝進出が決定。加入初年度から最高の舞台で古巣ドルトムントとの対戦が決まったベリンガムは、喜びを爆発させている。
「夢が叶ったよ。もしシーズン前にこの状況を話したら、信じてくれたと思う?公平に言って、おそらく信じられなかっただろうね。子供の頃はいつも、このクラブでこうなることを想像していた。いまは少し感情的になっているし、衝撃も受けている。これを理解するのには時間がかかると思うよ」

カタールのアル・ガラファは10日、スペイン代表FWロドリゴ・モレノ(33)をアル・ラーヤンからレンタル移籍で獲得したことを発表した。
ロドリゴはセルタの下部組織からレアル・マドリー・カスティージャに加入。2010年7月にベンフィカに完全移籍した。その後、ボルトン、バレンシアへのレンタル移籍を経て、2015年7月にバレンシアに完全移籍した。
バレンシアではエースとして活躍し、レンタル期間を含めて公式戦220試合で59ゴール41アシストを記録。スペイン代表にも選出されると、2020年8月にリーズ・ユナイテッドへ完全移籍する。
リーズでも公式戦97試合で28ゴール5アシストを記録。2023年7月にアル・ラーヤンに完全移籍しカタールでのプレーを始めると、アル・ラーヤンでは日本代表DF谷口彰悟(シント=トロイデン)ともチームメイトとしてプレーし、23試合で12ゴール6アシストを記録していた。
スペイン代表としても28試合で8ゴールを記録しているロドリゴ。アル・ガラファは、今夏の移籍市場でレアル・マドリーのスペイン代表FWホセル(34)を獲得しており、スペイン代表の2トップが形成されることに。ホセルとロドリゴはセルタの下部組織やマドリーのカスティージャなど育成年代で同じ道を歩んでいた。
