D・アウベス、ブラジル有利発言のメッシに反論「彼は敬意を欠いている」

ブラジル代表の優勝で幕を閉じた今回のコパ・アメリカ。日本代表の参戦、ペルーの躍進など様々なトピックがあった2019年大会だったが、その中で現在まで尾を引いているのはアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシの発言だ。

グループステージから敗退の危機にあったアルゼンチンは何とか決勝トーナメントに出場しベネズエラを撃破。しかし、ベスト4でブラジルに敗れ、またも日の目を見ることは叶わなかった。

大会後、メッシは開催国のブラジルが有利な判定を受けていることを揶揄する発言をし、大会運営側のCONMEBOL(南米サッカー連盟)にまで飛び火するコメントを残した。これを問題視したCONMEBOLが同選手に最大2年間の代表戦出場停止処分を科すことも検討していることが報じられ、小さな火種が大火になりつつある状況だ。

ここで、キャプテンとしてセレソンを12年ぶりのコパ・アメリカ優勝に導いたDFダニエウ・アウベスがメッシに反論。かつての仲間に厳しい意見を投じた。イギリス『ミラー』が伝えている。

「彼とは友達だけど、必ずしも友達に同調するわけではない。熱くなり過ぎて出たコメントだろうけど、僕は否定し続けるよ」

「まず第一に、セレソンのようなチームに対するリスペクトが不足していると思う。第二に、夢を叶えるために多くのものを背負って戦うプロフェッショナルたちに失礼だと思う」

「言うべき時は本当のことを言う、僕はそんな友人でありたい。彼はあんなことを言うべきじゃなかったね」

メッシ大好きなマテ茶のストローは7万円超えの特別仕様

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?

プーマがネイマール限定のスパイクを発表!コパ・アメリカで着用へ
