チェルシーに所属するベルギー代表MFエデン・アザールを東京オリンピックの舞台でお目にかかれるかもしれない。ベルギー『RTBF』が報じた。
来年に開幕が迫る東京オリンピック。その出場権を巡り、今月16日に欧州U-21選手権がイタリアで幕を開け、ベルギー代表はグループステージでイタリア代表や、ポーランド代表、スペイン代表と激突する。
U-21ベルギー代表の指揮を執るヨハン・ワレム監督は準決勝に勝ち上がれば、出場権を手にできる東京オリンピックに言及。選考に察して、アザールがオーバーエイジ枠での出場を自薦してきたことを明かした。
「我々がオリンピックの出場権を勝ち取ることができれば、ユーロを戦う今のグループに自信が沸いてくるだろうね」
「だが、オリンピックに向けた選考も難しくなるだろう。今の段階で30人以上の候補選手がいて、そこからU-21欧州選手権のために23名を選ぶのは最悪の仕事だったよ」
「そのなかで、アザールが尋ねてきた。自分が東京に行けるかどうかをね。とにかく、どうなるのかわからないし、まずは予選を突破しなければ」

「突き抜けてる(笑)」ベルギー代表の“ダサセーター” 姿が笑撃「デ・ブライネ内股」

ベルギーサッカー協会(KBVB)は18日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)で着用する新ホームユニフォームを発表した。 2018年のロシアW杯ではベスト16で日本代表を破り、3位に輝いたベルギー。カタールW杯の欧州予選8試合も6勝2分と無敗で切り抜け、早々に本大会出場権を手にすると、本大会ではクロアチア代表、カナダ代表、モロッコ代表と同じグループFに組み分けられている。 これまで“赤い悪魔”の名で知られている男子チームのユニフォームをデザインし、“赤い炎”で知られる女子チームはその派生形のユニフォームを着用することが多かったベルギーだが、新しいホームユニフォームではサプライヤーのアディダスとともに女子チームの発展を支援することを念頭にデザインされている。 そのデザインは、赤をベースに袖の部分は黒に切り替わっている。また、肩のスリーストライプスは黄色で縁取られ、ベルギーのナショナルカラーである3色が表現されている。さらに、両腕にはダイナミックなグラフィックの炎のプリントがされているのも特徴だ。 ショーツに関しては黒が基調で、ソックスは黒を基調に炎をモチーフにしたデザインが施される。 デザインについては、「カッコイイ!」、「卓球部にしか見えない」、「トレーニングウェア感ある」と賛否。また「昔の日本代表みたい!」、「なんか見たことある」と1997年に日本代表が着用した炎のデザインが印象的なユニフォームを彷彿とさせるという意見もあった。 22日にUEFAネーションズリーグ2022-23のウェールズ戦、25日にオランダ戦が控えるベルギーの男子チームだが、このユニフォームはウェールズ戦で選手たちが初めて着用する予定だ。 <span class="paragraph-title">【写真】炎のグラフィックが目立つベルギー代表の新ホームユニフォーム</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink="https://www.instagram.com/p/CirkmXQDeHa/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading" data-instgrm-version="14" style=" background:#FFF; クルトワがベルギー代表不仲説を否定!「報道されたことが事実とは限らない」
