人種差別チャント、ハドソン=オドイにライター投擲…サウスゲートが怒り

イングランド代表を率いるガレス・サウスゲート監督が、差別的なサポーターたちへの怒りを露わにしている。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えた。

イングランド代表は25日、ユーロ2020予選・グループB第2節でモンテネグロ代表とアウェイで対戦し、5-1で快勝。先日の第1節チェコ代表戦での5-0での勝利に続き、気分の良い勝利となった。

しかし、試合の中では、モンテネグロの一部のファンが気分の良くない行為でイングランドの選手たちを愚弄。試合の後半に差別的なチャントが歌われ、18歳にして頭角を現しているカラム・ハドソン=オドイにはライターが投げつけられた。

試合後、サウスゲート監督は差別的な行為に対しての怒りを隠さず。モンテネグロファンの言動を報告すると宣言し、選手たちを保護する姿勢を強く示した。

「モンテネグロのウルトラスが陣取っている場所近くにあるノーススタンドで、数名のカメラマンたちと話をした。彼らは、後半を通して差別的なチャントやモンキーチャントが一貫して歌われていたと言っていたよ。ハドソン=オドイもライターを投げつけられて、それをFAのスタッフに渡したと言っていた」

「ダニー・ローズは試合後、気分が悪くなってしまって、メディアに口を開きたがらなかった。彼のイングランドのシャツが更衣室の床でくしゃくしゃにされたままになっていたよ。それにモンテネグロの選手たちからシャツ交換の要求が沢山あったけど、それも拒否していた。起こったことに対して、明らかに腹を立てていたからね」

「あれは完全に受け入れられない。最も重要なことは、選手たちが私たちから保護されていると感じることだ。(差別行為を)確実に報告するだろう。私たちに出来ることは、彼らのために存在し、彼らが望む何らかのサポートをしていくことだ」

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表が新ユニフォームを発表、赤ではなくなったアウェイは賛否分かれる「初めてじゃないか?」「そのチョイスはなしだ」
