マンチェスター・ユナイテッドが、ウォルバーハンプトンに所属するポルトガル代表MFルベン・ネヴェス(21)に関心を示しているようだ。イギリス『エクスプレス』が伝えている。

ポルトの下部組織出身のネヴェスは、2014年に17歳の若さでトップチームデビュー。2015-16シーズンにはチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)グループステージ第3節のマッカビ・テルアビブ戦で大会史上最年少記録となる18歳221日でキャプテンマークを巻くなど、将来を嘱望される逸材だ。

そんなネヴェスは2017年7月に1750万ポンド(現在のレートで約25億円)でウォルバーハンプトンに移籍。加入初年度からリーグ戦42試合に出場し、チャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)の優勝に貢献した。今シーズンもここまでプレミアリーグ24試合に出場し7位と躍進するチームを支えている。

今回伝えられるところによると、ユナイテッドがネヴェスに関心を寄せており、シーズンを通してスカウティングを行っているという。しかし、ウォルバーハンプトンはネヴェスを1億ポンド(約142億円)と評価しており、金額が下がった場合のみ獲得に動くようだ。

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

フレッチャー氏の双子の息子がユナイテッドとプロ契約シティのアカデミーから昨夏加入

マンチェスター・ユナイテッドがクラブOBの息子たちとプロ契約を交わしたようだ。そのクラブOBとは元スコットランド代表MFのダレン・フレッシャー氏だ。ユナイテッドではアカデミー出身の選手として2003〜2015年まで活躍。当時のチームが華やかなメンツで彩られるなか、豊富な運動量と献身性をもってして中盤の主力としてプレーした。そんなフレッシャー氏も40歳となり、古巣ユナイテッドのテクニカルディレクターを務める傍ら、私生活では大きく育った息子たちのパパ。双子のジャックとタイラーは昨夏にマンチェスター・シティのアカデミーからユナイテッドのアカデミーに移籍し、話題を集めた。イギリス『デイリー・メール』によると、2人はユナイテッド入りして以来、印象的で、ジャックの方はエリク・テン・ハグ監督に好印象を与えてシニアチームの練習に急きょ参加したほど。今年3月19日が17歳の誕生日だった両者は揃ってプロ契約にサインしたという。今季のシニアチームではマーカス・ラッシュフォード、スコット・マクトミネイ、アレハンドロ・ガルナチョに続き、アカデミー出身選手からコビー・メイヌーが台頭。ジャックとタイラーも父を追うように将来のシニアチームで活躍が期待されるが、いかに。 2024.04.04 13:15 Thu
