▽国際プロサッカー選手会(FIFPro)が、欧州スーパーリーグ構想を巡り警告を発している。イギリス『イブニング・スタンダード』が報じた。

▽今月、暴露サイト『フットボール・リークス』のリークを基にドイツ『シュピーゲル』が進行中であることを伝えた、欧州スーパーリーグ構想。レアル・マドリーやバルセロナ、マンチェスター・ユナイテッド、ユベントス、バイエルンなど、主要リーグのエリートクラブを中心とした16クラブが、2021年からの実現で合意に至ったことが報じられていた。

▽もし現実のものとなれば、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)が大会として成り立たなくなり、各国リーグも沈没するといったデメリットが危惧される一方で、主要クラブに莫大な利益が集まり、新たなメガコンテンツになることが予想されるなど、確実にサッカー界全体を揺るがす構想だ。

▽これに関して、危機感を訴える立場である国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)のジャンニ・インファンティーノ会長は、「欧州スーパーリーグに参加した選手をワールドカップ(W杯)など国別代表から締め出す可能性がある」とけん制。構想そのものを排除したい意思を明確に示した。

▽また、各国のプロサッカー選手を保護する立場にあるFIFProも、「トップクラブや各コンペティションは業界全体に責任を負っていることを認識すべき」、「スモールクラブやリーグが経済的な存続危機に瀕しており、各コンペティションの競争力も薄れつつある。数百万人のファンや数千人の選手たちに影響を与える、サッカー界の存続にとっても重大な問題だ」と反対意思を表明した。

▽その一方で、インファンティーノ会長の主張に対しては、「それでも、私たちは選手たちが母国を代表することが出来るよう、権利を守る」と、「待った」をかけている。

FIFAが世界最大のサウジアラビア国営の石油会社「Aramco」とパートナーシップ契約…2027年まで

元ユナイテッドSDがFAに復帰…新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任

元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのスポーツディレクター(SD)、ダン・アシュワース氏が、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)に復帰することになった。 FAは14日、アシュワース氏が新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任すると発表。同職ではイングランド代表の男女チームと緊密に連携していくことになるという。昨年12月にユナイテッドのSDをわずか5カ月で退任したアシュワース氏。それ以前にはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、ニューカッスルで手腕を発揮しており、国内外のクラブからのオファーも想定されていたが、2018年まで6年間に渡って勤務していたFAに復帰することになった。アシュワース氏は、セント・ジョージズ・パークの再開発を監督し、2028年に開催されるユーロ2028の共催に向け、競技施設とピッチの改善を目指す。さらに、この新役職は、男子フットボールのテクニカルディレクターであるジョン・マクダーモット氏と緊密に連携するとともに、FAの最高経営責任者(CEO)であるマーク・ブリンガム氏とも連携する。また、イングランド国内の地元出身のコーチの育成にも携わる予定だという。 2025.05.15 16:30 Thu
