▽試合後、ダリッチ監督は決勝戦を回想し、試合をペースを握っていたことを強調するも、フランスの優勝を祝福。その後、今大会大躍進を見せたクロアチアの選手たちを労った。

「まずはフランスのタイトル獲得を祝福したい。我々は試合開始からの20分間とてもうまくプレーして試合をコントロールしていた。その後セットプレーからオウンゴールをしてしまった。そこから活気を取り戻したが、今度はペナルティを与えてしまったね」

「史上最悪」「恥ずかしい」伝統の市松模様が史上最大サイズになったクロアチアの新ユニフォームには酷評の嵐「これ以上酷いものは見たことがない」
