マンチェスター・シティへの加入が発表されたMFリヤド・マフレズが、元チームメイトのレスター・シティDFハリー・マグワイアはもっと高いレベルでプレーできると語った。『スカイスポーツ』が伝えた。

推定移籍金6000万ポンド(約89億円)でレスター・シティからプレミアリーグ王者への移籍が発表されたマフレズ。アルジェリア代表MFは元チームメイトのマグワイアがロシア・ワールドカップでイングランドの守備の要として準決勝進出に大きく貢献したことについて、「レスターに加入した当初から素晴らしいプレーを見せていたから、W杯での活躍に驚きはしない」と話した。

また、マフレズはレスター・シティからマンチェスター・Cにステップアップした自身のように「もっと上のレベルでプレーするに値する選手」だと、マグワイアについて評した。一方、4年間の在籍でプレミアリーグ優勝も経験した古巣にも敬意を忘れず、「レスターもいいチームだから、あとは彼が決めることだよ」とコメント。古巣に対する尊敬心も示した。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表が新ユニフォームを発表、赤ではなくなったアウェイは賛否分かれる「初めてじゃないか?」「そのチョイスはなしだ」

「可愛い!」ペガサスに乗って宙を舞うイングランド代表FWサカの衝撃写真が話題沸騰「この男を愛さないわけにはいかない」
