▽ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)に臨んだドイツ代表は、同国史上初となるグループリーグ敗退を喫した。当然ながら、チームはドイツ国民からの批判に晒されており、その中でも集中砲火を浴びているのがエジルだ。

▽大会直前にはSNS上でトルコのレジェップ・タイイップ・エルドアン大統領と面会した写真をアップロードしており、政治的なメッセージの色濃く示唆する行動として物議を醸していた。
▽ドイツの大会敗退後にインタビューに応じたエジルの父親は、以下のように息子が不当な非難を受けていると主張している。

「彼はもはや弁明を望んでいない。いつも自分を守ることを望んでいるということも、もうないんだ」
「ドイツ代表で彼は9年間もプレーしてきた…。Aチームで世界王者になった時期も含まれている」

「しかし、いざ負けると敗因はエジルか? 今では非難を浴び、スケープゴートにされている。私には彼が屈辱を感じているかどうか分かるよ」

「彼は彼の為に決断する必要がある。しかし、もし私が彼の傍に居たら『恩はあってもそれとこれは別だ! 』と言うよ」

「痛みはあまりに強くなっている。次の試合で何が起こるかなんて誰が知っているんだ。メストの場所に居たら、私なら降りる。しかし、これは単に私の非常に個人的な見解だ」

▽2014年のブラジル・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、紛れもない中心選手としてドイツの優勝に大きく貢献したエジル。功労者が本当にこのタイミングでやめてしまうとすれば、やや後味の悪い別れとなるかもしれない。

19歳の至宝ヴィルツが憧れるクラブとは? レバークーゼンは安売り許さず?

W杯で日本と対戦するドイツ代表の呼称「ディー・マンシャフト」が廃止に…7月末に結論

カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、日本代表とも対戦するドイツ代表だが、その“愛称”について議論がなされている。 2014年のブラジルW杯では優勝を果たしているドイツ代表。チームの愛称として「Die Mannschaft(ディー・マンシャフト)」が採用されている。 これはW杯制覇後の2015年にドイツ代表のマネージャーを務めるオリバー・ビアホフ氏が呼称として導入したもの。意味は「これがチームだ」というものだが、廃止の方向で話が進んでいる。 ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)のベルント・ノイエンドルフ会長は、この呼称について終わる可能性があることを20日にコメント。7月末に結論を出すという。 「終わりが来る。7月末に責任機関の会合が開かれ、決定が確実に下される。終わりのない話には興味がない」 「今回の定性調査では、我々のイメージを固め、意見をまとめることができるはずだ。ただ、調査に依存することはない」 この言葉の生みの親とも言われるビアホフ氏は「我慢すれば良い」と会長の決定を受け入れることを示唆。日本と対戦するときにはもう使われない愛称となっていそうだ。 2022.06.21 14:30 Tue

リュディガーがパヴァールへの暴挙を謝罪! 首元への踏みつけで流血…

▽チェルシーに所属するドイツ代表DFアントニオ・リュディガーが、6日に行われたUEFAネイションズリーグ・リーグA・グループ1のフランス戦でのフランス代表DFバンジャマン・パヴァールへのラフプレーを謝罪した。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。 ▽ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)王者フランスと、ブラジルW杯王者ドイツの新旧世界王者対決がいきなり実現したUEFAネイションズリーグ初戦は0-0のドローに終わった。 ▽新旧世界王者対決に相応しい拮抗した試合展開となったものの、物議を醸したのがリュディガーがパヴァールに対して行った危険な踏みつけ行為だった。サイドでマッチアップした中、リュディガーがクロスを試みた際にパヴァールがスライディングでブロック。この直後、パヴァールと接触したリュディガーは左足で同選手の首元を踏み付ける暴挙に出た。そして、ピッチで悶絶したパヴァールは首元から流血し、ピッチサイドでメディカルスタッフから止血を施される事態となっていた。 ▽同試合後、リュディガーは自身の公式ツイッターを通じてシュツットガルトの後輩に謝罪した。 「バンジャマン・パヴァールに起こったことに関して申し訳ないと思っている。ただ、あれは意図的なものではなかったんだ」 「あの直後に彼には謝罪をしたけど、改めて彼のできるだけ早い回復を祈っているよ」 2018.09.07 22:19 Fri
