スペイン代表、W杯に向けた秘密兵器はリヨンFWマリアーノ? ロペテギが招集示唆

▽スペイン代表はロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)本大会に向けた秘密兵器としてリヨンに所属するFWマリアーノ・ディアス(24)の招集を考えているようだ。フレン・ロペテギ監督がスペイン『アス』で招集を示唆した。

▽スペイン人の父親とドミニカ人の母親の元、バルセロナで生まれ育ったマリアーノは、2011年にレアル・マドリーの下部組織に加入。2016年にはレアル・マドリー・カスティージャでも指導を受けていたジネディーヌ・ジダン監督の下でトップチームデビューを飾った。

▽その後、トップチーム定着を果たしたマリアーノだが、今夏出場機会を求めてリヨンに完全移籍。今シーズンここまではリーグ戦19試合に出場し13ゴールを挙げるなど、印象的な活躍を披露している。

▽2013年にドミニカ共和国代表としてハイチ代表との国際親善試合に出場しているマリアーノだが、以降はスペイン代表への国籍変更を考慮しドミニカ共和国代表でプレーしていないため、招集は可能な状況だ。

▽ロペテギ監督は『アス』のインタビューでマリアーノ招集の可能性を示唆している。

「マリアーノと(アトレティコのU-21フランス代表DF)リュカの招集? マリアーノに関してはイエスだ。彼はスペイン人であり、選択の対象だ。我々はすでに彼の視察に行っているし、彼のことを学んでいる」

「中南米の国々では二重国籍を持てる。ただ、リュカのようなプレーヤーに関しては招集可能かどうかわからない」

「フランス人、スペイン人、イタリア人、スペイン人には同時になれない。彼らはそのうちの1つを選ぶ必要がある。それはEUが言っていることだからね」

▽現在、スペイン代表ではMFダビド・シルバやMFイスコが“ファルソ・ヌエベ(偽9番)”としてプレーする一方、本職のセンターフォワードではFWアルバロ・モラタ、FWロドリゴ・モレーノ、FWジエゴ・コスタの3選手が定期的に招集を受けている。ここにリヨンで覚醒中のマリアーノがポジション争いに加われば、より盤石なスカッドを構築できるはずだ。
