失意のヴェントゥーラ、協会の決定よりも先に辞任の意思を示す

▽イタリア代表を率いるジャンピエロ・ヴェントゥーラ監督が、辞任することが決定的となったようだ。イタリア各メディアが伝えている。

▽ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選プレーオフに回ったイタリアは、10日に敵地で行われた1stレグでスウェーデン代表に0-1で敗れた。巻き返しを誓ったホームでの2ndレグだったが結果はゴールレス。これによりイタリアは15大会ぶりとなる予選敗退が決まった。

▽試合前より、プレーオフの結果次第でヴェントゥーラ監督の解任は決定的だと報じられていた中、指揮官は協会からの発表よりも先に辞任を表明したと言われている。

▽現在までにイタリアサッカー連盟(FIGC)は正式な発表をしていないが、このまま解任となる可能性が高いようだ。

▽2016年7月に、前任のアントニオ・コンテ監督を引き継ぐ形でイタリア代表の指揮官に就任したヴェントゥーラ監督。中盤にセンターハーフを2枚置く形を好み、[4-2-4]のフォーメーションを好んで採用するも、2017年9月2日に行われたロシアW杯欧州予選グループG第7節でスペインに0-3と完敗を喫した。

「イケすぎてませんか」イタリア代表が白×金の125周年記念ユニフォームを発表!「美しい」「マジでかっこいい」
