メダル獲得に意気込むU-23韓国代表FWソン・フンミン「楽しむために行くつもりはない」

▽トッテナムに所属する韓国代表FWソン・フンミンが、4日に開幕するリオ・デジャネイロ・オリンピックに向けた意気込みを語った。クラブ公式サイトが伝えている。

▽インターナショナル・チャンピオンズカップに臨んでいるチームに帯同していたソン・フンミンだが、リオ五輪に臨むためにプレシーズンマッチを行うチームを離脱。プレミアリーグ挑戦2年目となる今シーズンだが、開幕から数試合を欠場することになる。

▽フィジー、ドイツ、メキシコと同居するU-23韓国代表にオーバーエイジ枠で選出されたソン・フンミンは、「最初の試合を欠場することを申し訳なく思う」と語りながらも、2012年のロンドン・オリンピックを回想し、自身初となる五輪出場を意気込んだ。

「今、僕はリオに行き、韓国のためにプレーすることに興奮している。初めてのオリンピックになるし、僕にとってはとても特別なことだね」

「2012年のロンドン五輪を観ていたんだ。とても素晴らしいパフォーマンスを見せていたし、多くの人々、多くのスポーツを見た。誰もが興奮していたし、素晴らしい気持ちになったよ」

▽また、メダルについても言及。トッテナムでのプレー同様に、韓国のためにプレーし、メダルを獲りたいと語った。

「もちろんだよ。もしそうでなければ、行く意味はないよ。僕は韓国のためにメダルを獲りたいんだ。いつだって韓国のためにプレーしてきたし、トッテナムのためにも同じようにしてきた。楽しむために行くつもりはないし、勝ってオリンピックのメダルを獲得したいよ」

「泣ける」「1番グッときた」ザルツブルクが南野拓実&ファン・ヒチャンの敗退にメッセージ「私達の誇り」

日本撃破の韓国、10人を入れ替える苦しい台所事情…ファン・ソンホン監督は選手を称賛「選手たちの素晴らしい努力に感謝したい」
