Jリーグは23日、2024-25シーズンのアジアサッカー連盟(AFC)の大会に出場するクラブの枠を発表した。
ヨーロッパでいうところの、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)、ヨーロッパリーグ(EL)、ヨーロッパ・カンファレンスリーグ(ECL)という座組みだ。
その中で、東地区と西地区のリーグランキングを基に出場枠が決まり、日本は現在東地区の1位。2023-24シーズンはACLに本大会3クラブ、プレーオフに1クラブという枠だったが、2024-25シーズンはACLEに3クラブ、ACL2に1クラブが出場することとなる。なお、プレーオフはない。
2024-25シーズンの4つの枠の割り振りに関しては、J1優勝クラブ、天皇杯優勝クラブ、J1の2位クラブがACLEに出場。ACL2にはJ1の3位クラブが出場することとなる。また、J1の上位3クラブと天皇杯優勝クラブが重複した場合は、J1の4位クラブがACL2に出場し、3位クラブがACLEに出場することとなる。
なお、2023-24シーズンのACLでJリーグクラブが優勝した場合は、1枠目としてACLEに出場。J1の3位クラブは出場権を失うこととなる。
今シーズンの明治安田生命J1リーグは残り2節。首位のヴィッセル神戸と2位の横浜F・マリノスが優勝争いを繰り広げているが、両チームの2位以内は既に確定しているため、2024-25シーズンのACLE出場が確定。2位のチームは2023-24シーズンのACLの結果次第でACL2に回る。

Jリーグが理念強化配分金とファン指標配分金の支給クラブと支給額を発表! 「DAZN」ベースのファン指標分配金の1位は浦和、最下位は福島に
