2014年1月にチェルシーから加入し、今季で8シーズン目を迎えているフアン・マタに、サウジアラビアからとんでもないオファーが届いていたようだ。情報によると、名前は伏せられているものの、年俸は1600万ユーロ(約20億円)。
これだけでも信じられない金額だが、一度断られたというアラビアンクラブは、2000万ユーロ(約25億円)に上げて再トライ。しかし、マタはオファーに感謝を示しつつ丁重に断ったようだ。
ユナイテッド加入以降、獲得したタイトルは4つ。ヨーロッパリーグなど一発勝負のカップ戦では結果を残してきたものの、リーグ戦ではいまいち日の目を見ていない。

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

ユナイテッドの組織改革続く! 新TDにサウサンプトンからウィルコックスFDを招へい
