スペイン代表が27日にUEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)・リーグA・グループ2最終節のポルトガル代表戦を制して、ファイナル4進出を決めた。

この最終節を前にしてポルトガルに首位の座を奪われたスペインだが、直接対決を88分にFWアルバロ・モラタが決めた決勝ゴールで勝利。逆転での4強入りを果たした。

『UEFA.com』によると、殊勲のモラタは試合後、『TVE』で「難しい試合だった。ポルトガルが擁する選手の実力を見てもね。最後まで戦い抜いたよ」と振り返った。

続けて、アシストしたDFニコ・ウィリアムスの活躍にも触れ、「彼は代表で2試合目だったけど、カルバハルのパスからカギを握るプレーを披露してくれた」と称賛した。

この試合をもって今活動が打ち上げられ、次の集合時はいよいよカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)に向かうことに。29歳のストライカーはチームにもコメントしている。

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

女子W杯2023、視聴者数が世界各国で記録的な数字に! イングランドやスペインはもちろん中国でも

女子サッカーへの関心を裏付ける数字となっているようだ。スペイン女子代表の初優勝で幕を閉じたオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)。両開催国ともに入場者数が過去最高を記録するなど、大盛況のうちに終わった。中継の数字にも関心の高さは見て取れ、オーストラリアでは準決勝のイングランド女子代表戦をピーク時に過去最高となる1115万人が視聴したと伝えられていた。また、『ロイター』は各国の視聴者数に関するデータをまとめており、イギリスでは『BBC One』のピーク視聴者数が1200万人に。『iTV』でも放送された決勝戦は、合計最高視聴者数が1440万人に達したと、集計会社バーブが報告している。なお、イングランドが初優勝した母国での女子欧州選手権(ユーロ)2022では1740万人、7月に行われたテニスの男子ウィンブルドン決勝では1130万人だったと比較。関心の高さがうかがえる。スペインでは560万人が決勝戦を視聴し、最高視聴者数は740万人に。これはスペインにおける女子サッカーの試合のテレビ視聴者数としては史上最高記録とのこと。『バルロベント・コミュニケーション』が発表したデータによると、スペインのテレビ視聴者の56.2%が男性だったという。中国ではグループステージのイングランド戦を5390万人が視聴。1試合の最高視聴者数を記録した。世界での総視聴者数は明記されていないものの、FIFA女子サッカー最高責任者のサライ・ブレナン氏によれば、開幕前には前回大会の11億2000万人を上回る20億人以上と見込まれていた。各国の施策による女子チームへの強化体制が実を結び、ゲームの強度や戦術の向上、さらには有望な若手、スペイン女子代表FWサルマ・パラジュエロやコロンビア女子代表MFリンダ・カイセドらが多数台頭した今大会。W杯後には初のUEFA女子ネーションズリーグがスタートし、来年にはパリ・オリンピック、さらに翌年には女子ユーロが控えており、まだまだ世界の女子サッカー熱は冷めそうにない。 2023.08.23 21:27 Wed
