ビラデビュー即ゴールのコウチーニョ「良いスタートが切れた」

アストン・ビラのブラジル代表MFフィリペ・コウチーニョが鮮烈なデビューの心境を語った。

今冬に出場機会を求めて、バルセロナからビラにローン移籍したコウチーニョ。それから間もなくして、15日にホームでプレミアリーグ第22節のマンチェスター・ユナイテッド戦を迎えた。

ベンチからのスタートになったが、0-2の68分から出場すると、MFジェイコブ・ラムジーのゴールに絡み、続く81分にボックス左からの折り返しを右足で押し込み、ドローに持ち込んだ。

ビラデビュー戦から期待通りの活躍を披露して、今後にも期待を膨らませたコウチーニョも試合後、イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』で満足感を示した。

「こういう試合、プレミアリーグが恋しかった。前から言うように、新たなチームメイトとここにいられて、すごく幸せだ」

「良いスタートが切れたよ。良い試合ができたと思う。最後まで勝てると信じ続け、負けなかった。次に進むんだ」

リバプールからバルセロナに移籍してから苦悩の時間を過ごしたが、「多くの浮き沈みがあったが、もう過去のことだ」とビラでの今を大事にした。

「僕はクラブや監督の目標に集中するためにここにいる。チームメイトや監督に力を貸すために良い仕事がしたいんだ」

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ
