スイス代表GKヤン・ゾンマーが、スペイン代表戦での連続PKストップを振り返っている。フランス『レキップ』がコメントを伝えている。

14日に行われたUEFAネーションズリーグ・グループ第5節でスペインと対戦したスイス。この試合で守護神のゾンマーは、相手DFセルヒオ・ラモスが蹴った2度のPKを止める大活躍を披露した。

セルヒオ・ラモスにとってはクラブレベルから数えて25本連続で成功中だったが、好調のボルシアMGでも正GKを務めるゾンマーが、その記録にピリオドを打った。

試合は終盤の失点で1-1の引き分けとなったものの、ゾンマーは劣勢の中でもコンパクトに上手く戦えたチームに満足感を示した。そして、PKストップに関しては、キッカーの特徴は頭に入れておいたものの、やはり運が味方してくれたと謙虚な姿勢を見せた。

「ラモスの蹴り方は事前にチェックしてたんだけど、ホームというのもあってやっぱり緊張したよ。彼は左に一回、右に一回と常に蹴る方向を変えてくるんだ。今日は多少の運にも助けられたよ」

現在リーグAグループ3で最下位に沈むスイスは、リーグBへの降格回避をかけて17日に最終節でウクライナ代表と対戦する。背水の陣で臨むゾンマーは「勝たなければならない。難しいグループなのはわかっていた。ウクライナ相手に良いパフォーマンスを示さなければ」と、意気込みを語った。

2011～2020年の世界ベストイレブンが発表!イニエスタとともに中盤に入ったのは相棒チャビではなく…

「クソッタレ!」ストイコビッチ監督が興奮し問題発言、スイスとセルビアに起きた4年前の遺恨が再燃か「とても悪い振る舞い」
