ビジャレアルのアルゼンチン代表MFジオバニ・ロ・チェルソがカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)を欠場することになった。アルゼンチン『Clarin』が伝えている。
ロ・チェルソはここまで代表通算41試合に出場。昨年のコパ・アメリカの優勝に貢献するなど、中盤の主力として活躍してきた。
しかし、カタールW杯のメンバー入り確実と見られたレフティは、先月末に行われたアスレティック・ビルバオ戦で右足を負傷。その後、右大腿二頭筋の剥離と診断された中、保存療法でのW杯出場の可能性を模索していたが、選手本人やクラブ、代表のメディカルチームの協議の結果、最終的に手術に踏み切ることになった。
現時点で離脱期間は不明だが、少なくともこの手術によってW杯欠場は確実となった模様だ。

メッシ 大好きなマテ茶のストローは7万円超えの特別仕様
