フランス代表FWランダル・コロ・ムアニの貴重な追加点はワールドカップ(W杯)史でも3番目の最速ゴールだったようだ。

FWクリストファー・エンクンクの負傷離脱を受けて、フランスから声がかかったコロ・ムアニ。14日に行われた準決勝のモロッコ代表もベンチスタートだったが、78分の出場から即ゴールを決め、決勝進出となる2-0の勝利に大きく貢献した。コロ・ムアニにとって、記念すべき代表初弾となったが、データ分析会社『Opta』によると、W杯史においても記録的なスピードでのゴールだったとのことで、ピッチインからネットを揺らすまでにかかった時間はわずか44秒だったという。

2002年大会の元ウルグアイ代表FWリカルド・モラレス氏(16秒)、1998年大会の元デンマーク代表FWエッベ・サンド氏(26秒)に次ぐスピード弾でフランスの連覇王手に導いた24歳FWは試合後、フランス『TF1』で夢心地の心境を口にした。

「鶏デカすぎ」「ケンタッキーとのコラボか?」フランス代表の新ユニフォームにはビッグサイズのロゴが採用「巨大すぎない?」
