元日本代表監督のザッケローニがカタールW杯の優勝国を予想「選手層とクオリティが違う」

元日本代表監督のアルベルト・ザッケローニ氏が、ブラジルのカタール・ワールドカップ優勝を予想している。

先月20日に開幕したカタールW杯も決勝トーナメントまで進み、オランダやアルゼンチン、イングランドにフランスなど、大会前から優勝候補と目されていた強豪が順当に勝ち上がっている。

日本も史上初のベスト8を目指して5日にクロアチア戦が控える中、かつて日本を率いてブラジル大会に臨んだザッケローニ氏が、イタリア『Rai Radio』のインタビューで今大会の結果を予想。フランス擁するキリアン・ムバッペは驚異的な存在だとしながらも、今回からの新ルールや選手層の厚さからブラジルが最有力とみているようだ。

「ブラジルが優勝候補だろう。5人交代制が彼らを有利にしている。ただ、ムバッペは常軌を逸した存在だ。フランスとブラジルの決勝戦? ありそうだね」

「ムバッペは違いを生む。昨日のポーランドはほとんど深い位置を取られなかったが、彼にやられてしまった。唯一無二の足を持っており、ボールを持つたびに守備陣をパニックに陥れる。調子が良い日の彼を止めす術はない」

殿堂掲額者にザッケローニ氏選出も投票による掲額者は今年も該当/六川亨の日本サッカーの歩み

第20回を迎えた日本サッカー殿堂の掲額式典が9月29日にJFAサッカー文化創造拠点のblue-ing! で開催された。今年の掲額者はセリエAのユベントスやACミラン、インテル・ミラノなどの監督を歴任し、2010年に日本代表の監督に就任したアルベルト・ザッケローニ氏が「特別選考」で殿堂入りを果たした。ザッケローニ氏は監督就任早々の10年10月8日には初めてアルゼンチンを倒すなど順風満帆のスタートを切った。そして年が明けた11年は苦しみながらもアジアカップカタール2011で優勝を遂げた。13年6月のコンフェデ杯はブラジル、イタリア、メキシコに3連敗を喫したものの、7月に韓国で開催された東アジアカップでは敵地で韓国を2-1で破って初優勝を果たした。しかし期待された14年のブラジルW杯では初戦でコートジボワールに1-2で敗れると、続くギリシャ戦は0-0で引分けたが最終戦のコロンビアには1-4と大敗し、グループリーグでの敗退を余儀なくされた。当時を振り返り、やはりやり直したいのは「コートジボワール戦」というのは偽らざる本音だろう。グループリーグ敗退の原因を、「チーム全員が優勝するという同じ熱量を持っていなかった」と振り返ったが、当時としてはそれも仕方のないことだったと思う。第20回を迎え、殿堂掲額者は投票と特別選考での選出を合わせて92人と3チームになった(1936年ベルリン五輪と1968年メキシコ五輪銅メダルの日本代表と、2011年ドイツW杯優勝のなでしこジャパン)。代表監督はプロ契約がスタートした92年のハンス・オフト氏以来、短命で終わったロベルト・ファルカン氏とハビエル・アギーレ氏、JFAと仲違いしたヴァイッド・ハリルホジッチ氏以外の8人が選出されている。その一方で寂しかったのが、「日本サッカーに永年にわたって顕著な貢献をした選手」、「満60歳以上の者(物故者は含まれない)」という二つの資格要件に従い殿堂・表彰委員会にてリストアップし、サッカーの取材経験が豊富なメディア関係者や歴代殿堂掲額者、JFA理事らによる投票で選出されるOBが、今年も得票率を満たすことができずに選出が見送られたことだ。 20年に選出された木村和司以来、4年連続しての“該当者なし”であり、その間に金田喜稔氏は資格を失った。今年度の候補者は原博実氏(第16回から継続)、森下申一氏、松永成立氏、都並敏史氏、柱谷幸一氏、柱谷哲二氏(いずれも第18回から継続)だったが、各氏とも掲額に値すると思うものの、基準を満たすことはできなかった。メディア関係者には3票の投票権が与えられているが、票が割れてしまったのだろうか。受賞資格としては「日本代表50試合以上の出場」か「JSL1部およびJ1リーグ通算210試合以上出場」という規定がある。しかしながら代表戦とJ1リーグの試合数がJSL時代とは比較にならないほど増えているだけに、今後は候補者の増加が予想される。このため殿堂掲額者の投票による選考方法も再考する時期に来ているのではないか。そんな思いを強くした、第20回を迎えた殿堂掲額式典でもあった。 2024.09.30 22:30 Mon

「ずっと仲良しでいいですね」「最高すぎる」堂安律もダブルピース! ハワイを共に楽しんだ相手は10年来の仲間「素敵です」
