イングランド代表MFジェシー・リンガードがお披露目したゴールパフォーマンスにコメントした。先のユーロこそメンバー落ちしたものの、今月の代表活動に参加するリンガード。5日にホームで行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選グループI第5節のアンドラ代表戦に先発すると、2得点1アシストの活躍を披露した。

リンガードは試合後、『beIN SPORTS』で「最高だね。イングランド代表のシャツを着るのはいつだって素晴らしいこことだが、母国のためにゴールを決めて、それが良い結果に繋がるとパーフェクトだ」と喜びの心境を明かした。
また、18分の先制ゴール時にこれまでの両手を使って顔の前でポーズを決める仕草にプラスして、助走から飛び上がり、180度回転しての着地するパフォーマンスも披露。ポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドを彷彿とさせた。

その理由も問われると、代表でチームメイトのMFメイソン・マウントと試合前に話し合いの末、C・ロナウドのマンチェスター・ユナイテッド復帰を祝う意味も込め、オマージュすることにしたようだ。
「今週、メイソンとセレブレーションを考えるなかで、僕のやつとC・ロナウドのやつをミックスしたんだ。で、僕がゴールを決めたら、それをやると言ったのさ。あれはちょっとしたウェルカム・ギフトだ。彼はすぐに馴染むだろうし、今季のチームに大きく貢献してくれるはずさ」

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表のユニフォームが変? ファンが気づいた異変はベテランキットマンのまさかのミス…「間違ってしまった」

ブリッジは“不倫男”テリーを未だに許さず? 自身の近くに引っ越し発覚後、自宅を売却に出す

元イングランド代表DFのウェイン・ブリッジ氏は、チェルシー時代に自身の元恋人と不倫関係にあった元イングランド代表DFのジョン・テリー氏を未だに許してないのかもしれない。イギリス『サン』が報じている。 ブリッジ氏とテリー氏は、同じ39歳でチェルシーとイングランド代表で共闘してきた親友だった。しかし、2010年1月にブリッジ氏が当時交際し、1人の息子をもうけていたヴァネッサ・プロンセルと、既婚のテリー氏に不倫疑惑が持ち上がり、両者の関係は完全に破綻。 この騒動がキッカケでテリー氏はイングランド代表キャプテンをはく奪され、ブリッジ氏も“不倫男”との共闘を望まず、代表辞退という重い決断を下していた。 さらに、不倫問題発覚後、初の直接対決となった試合では当時マンチェスター・シティに在籍していたブリッジ氏が、試合前の握手を拒否。さらに、シティのチームメイトだった元アルゼンチン代表FWカルロス・テベスが、得点直後にテリー氏の前に立ちはだかってブリッジ氏を指さすパフォーマンスを見せるなど、大きな話題をさらっていた。 その後、ブリッジ氏は2013年に現在の妻であるイギリス人歌手のフランキーサンド・フォードさんと結婚し、2人の息子を授かっている。 その事件から10年が経った今年に入って両氏は、再びメディアの話題に挙がることに。 『サン』が伝えるところによれば、テリー氏は今年4月にロンドン近郊のサリーに430万ポンド(約6億円)の邸宅を購入し、すでに引っ越しも済ませているという。 そして、その新居から数分の距離にはブリッジ氏と家族が住む550万ポンド(約7億6000万円)の邸宅があった。 しかし、同メディアによると、ブリッジ夫妻はテリー氏の引っ越しが原因かは不明なものの、現在その自宅を売りに出しているという。 この動きに関してある関係者は、「ウェインとジョンは明らかに最高の友人とは言えない。今は不動産市場に不確実性があるが、ウェインとフランキーは新たなスタートを求めている。そして、現在の場所から少し離れた場所に引っ越しをすることを決めた」と、説明している。 今回の引っ越しは単なる偶然の可能性が高そうだが、ブリッジはやはり“不倫男”を許していないのか…。 2020.08.05 15:02 Wed
