ブラジル代表FWガブリエウ・ジェズス(27)はフィットネスとフィニッシュの問題により、アーセナルでの将来が不安視されるようだ。
2022年夏にマンチェスター・シティから加入し、センターフォワードの一番手として公式戦11ゴール7アシストの結果を残したジェズス。しかし、今シーズンはケガも重なってドイツ代表FWカイ・ハヴァーツにポジションを奪われ気味で、サイドでの出番や、ベンチスタートが増えている。
そんなジェズスは今シーズンのここまで4ゴール4アシストと得点関与も減らす。アーセナルとの契約を2027年6月まで残すが、イギリス『The Athletic』は将来が保証されてはおらず、チームもオファーが届けば耳を傾けうると主張した。
フィニッシャーとしての鋭さを欠くジェズスはフィットネスも問題とのことで、2022年のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)で負ったヒザのケガに今も悩まされている状況。夏のコパ・アメリカ出場も危ぶまれるなか、4月にはこのようなコメントを残していた。

【CL準々決勝プレビュー】19年ぶり顔合わせ、ガナーズ主将ウーデゴールが古巣マドリーと対戦《アーセナルvsレアル・マドリー》
