ハンガリーサッカー連盟(MLSZ) とアディダスは14日、ハンガリー代表の新ユニフォームを発表した。
ユーロ2024予選では、グループGを5勝3分けの無敗という強さで首位突破を果たしたハンガリー。本大会ではグループAに入り、ドイツ代表、スコットランド代表、スイス代表と同居している。
そのユーロ2024に向けての新ユニフォーム。ホームは赤をベースとしつつ、白をアクセントに、さらにシャツのサイドには緑のラインが施された。胸には、MLSZのエンブレムが右胸に、左胸にはハンガリーの国章が入り、そのど真ん中にアディダスのロゴが白であしらわれている。
アウェイユニフォームについては、ホームユニフォームとほぼ同じデザインの色違いに。こちらは白がベースとなり、肩のスリーストライプスは赤になっている。袖と襟の一部分は緑に切り替わっているほか、シャツのサイドのラインは赤と緑の2色が並べられている。
今回アディダスから発表されたユニフォームは、ハンガリーに限らず、エンブレムやアディダスのロゴのサイズが以前よりも大きくなっている。その中、ハンガリーはエンブレムを2つデザインしていることもあり、ファンからは「MLSZのロゴが大きくなっていなければもっと良かったのに…」、「なんてことだ。MLSZのロゴが大きくなっている」と意見が集まっている。

リバプールへの完全移籍が決まったハンガリー代表MFドミニク・ソボスライが自身の名前の発音を新天地のファンにレクチャーした。
22歳ながらハンガリー代表でキャプテンを務め、すでに32試合7ゴールを記録しているソボスライ。頭角を現したザルツブルクから2021年1月にライプツィヒへと移籍すると、2年半の在籍でブンデスリーガで62試合12ゴール16アシストを記録。その活躍が認められ、移籍金6000万ポンド(約110億円)でプレミアリーグ挑戦となった。
リバプールではレジェンドであるスティーブン・ジェラード氏が着用していた背番号「8」を着用するなど期待の高まるソボスライだが、クラブの公式SNSで自身の発音をレクチャーする場面があった。
ハンガリー生まれハンガリー育ちのソボスライの名前のスペルは「Dominik Szoboszlai」。だが、本人の発音を聞く限りではドミニク・ソボスライのようだ。ソボスライにはzが2つ入っているが、これは発音しないようだ。
本人が明かした発音には、ファンも「完全にソボスライ」、「ソボスライと呼ばせて頂きます!」、「一番気になってたことありがとう」と反応。そのプレーにも注目が集まる。

ハンガリー代表のMFドミニク・ソボスライ(リバプール)のゴールに注目が集まっている。
ハンガリーは19日、欧州選手権(ユーロ)2024予選グループG最終節でホームにモンテネグロ代表を迎え、3-1で勝利を収めた。
4勝3分けの勝ち点「15」で、すでに予選突破を決めていたハンガリーは、36分にFKから失点を喫した。だが、66分、68分とソボスライの連続ゴールで一気に逆転すると、試合終了間際にも追加点を奪い、無敗で予選ラウンドを終えた。
「GOAL OF THE ROUND(今節のベストゴール)」にも選出されるなど、脚光を集めたのは66分の同点ゴールだ。
ハンガリーは、速攻に転じたモンテネグロを中盤でつぶし、カウンター返しのような形で右サイドへ展開する。受けたソボスライはDF2人の合間を縫ってボックスへ侵入し、カバーに入ったもう1人もボディフェイントと右足アウトサイドのタッチを駆使して置き去りにすると、ゴールエリア角から鋭い低空弾を左隅に突き刺した。
圧巻のドリブルゴールには「この人すご過ぎ!」、「ソボスライがエグい」、「これ見るとリヴァプールでのプレーを制限されてる印象があるな…」、「こいつバケモンすぎだろ」、「この人は天才だ」、「上手すぎて鳥肌」などの賛辞が相次いでいる。
腕章を巻き、チームを牽引したソボスライは試合後『UEFA.com』にて「自分一人だけでは試合をひっくり返すことはできなかった。2ゴールを決めたけれど、他のゴールも必要だった。(前半はビハインドだったが)後半はうまく対応し、自分たちらしさや、僕たちの力を見せられたと思う」とのコメントを残している。
また、「調子が良いときだけでなく、うまくいっていないときでも、いつも我々をサポートしてくれて本当に感謝している」と、ファンやサポーターへ向けてもメッセージを残したソボスライ。本戦でもひと際注目を集めることになりそうだ。

ハンガリー代表指揮官がリバプールの同代表MFドミニク・ソボスライに言及した。
プレミアリーグ首位&チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)リーグフェーズ首位通過のリバプールを支える24歳、ハンガリー代表MFソボスライ。
昨季加入から中盤の主力に定着するなか、最近は攻撃面での貢献が光り、アルネ・スロット監督からは「自らゴールを狙う意識が上がった。これは本当に重要なことだ」と称えられる。
そんなソボスライの代表キャリアに目を移すと、若くして古豪ハンガリーのキャプテンを担い、1986年メキシコ大会以来のW杯出場を見据える現チームで、まさに不動の存在。ほぼほぼ全ての攻撃がソボスライを経由する。
ご存知の方も多いとおり、ソボスライを中心にジワジワ復権が進む近年のハンガリー。
しかし、同代表を立て直したイタリア人指揮官、マルコ・ロッシ監督はハンガリー『M4 SPORT』のインタビューでこう語る。
「ドミニク(ソボスライ)のリバプールにおける役割は、ボールポゼッションだけでなく、あらゆる面でバランスをとるために必要不可欠だと思う。それは“定量的”な仕事であり、どんなチームであれ、あのような存在が重要となる」
「無論、それはハンガリーにとっても同じ」
「だが、たとえばイングランド代表と対戦すると、相手にはソボスライと同等かそれ以上のレベルの選手が、少なくとも10人はいる。イングランドからすれば『ハンガリーはソボスライを抑え込めばいい』という話になるのだ」
「ソボスライ自身やそれ以外の選手を批判しているわけではないよ。しかし、これが現実であり、必ずしもソボスライは違いを生み出す選手になれないということだ。試合によっては平均以下のパフォーマンスを見ることとなる」
ロッシ監督はソボスライの話題に続けて、現在のハンガリーが数少ない「欧州5大リーグ組」に頼らざるを得ないという現状も語る。
「他国リーグでプレーする選手とハンガリー国内の選手では、どうしてもプレーレベルの差が甚大だ。たとえソボスライがイングランドでプレーできていなくても、国内の選手よりもこちらを優先せざるを得ないということだ」
