会長選の唯一の立候補者でもあったグラヴィナ会長。第1回の投票で98.7%(48万7500票中48万1084票)を獲得し、再選が決定した。なお、任期は2028年までとなる。

国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)は19日、最新のFIFAランキングを発表した。
2024年は1181試合の国際試合が行われた中、11月からここまでの間には21試合のみが開催。そのため、ほとんどの順位に変動が起こらなかった。
上位30位までは変動なし。日本代表も15位をキープして2024年を終えることとなった。

欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)は13日、2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選の組み合わせ抽選会を実施した。

イタリア代表指揮官として手腕を発揮しているロベルト・マンチーニ監督が華麗な足技でも見せた。
イタリアは20日に行われたユーロ2020グループA最終節でウェールズ代表と対戦。主力を一部温存した中、1-0で勝利。グループステージ3連勝で首位通過を決めた。
チームを上手くマネジメントしているマンチーニ監督だが、19分に見せ場が。ウェールズが左サイドに送ったロングパスが大きくなり、タッチラインを越えてテクニカルエリアのマンチーニ監督のもとまで届く。
すると、マンチーニ監督はバックステップを踏みながら右足を後ろに上げ、ノールックの状態でかかとでトラップを試みた。トラップしたボールはマンチーニ監督の背中に当たって転々としたが、スーツ姿かつスパイクではなく革靴を履いての挑戦ということも加味する必要があるだろう。
このシーンが『Bleacher Report』の公式ツイッターで「マンチーニのファーストタッチ」として公開されると、ファンからも「衰えていない」「イタリアンスタイル」「絵になるな」「かっこいい」と指揮官の容姿とテクニックを称賛する声が挙がった。
マンチーニ監督は現役時代にサンプドリアの黄金期の一員として活躍。一方イタリア代表ではロベルト・バッジョの後塵を拝すことが多かった。
スーツ姿が絵になるマンチーニ監督率いるイタリアは30試合無敗とし、同国の最多記録に並んだ。3年前のロシア・ワールドカップ出場を逃した鬱憤を晴らすべく、決勝トーナメントでも期待が懸かる。

アイドル界きってのサッカーフリークとして知られる日向坂46の影山優佳さんが、今年推していきたい日本人選手を発表し話題となっている。
カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では「ABEMA」でW杯の中継や関連番組に出演。日本代表を応援する姿はもちろん、サッカー愛溢れるトークや試合結果を見事的中させるなど、多くの人に知られることとなった。
また、「あなたのハートにゲーゲンプレス」という挨拶を解説を務めた本田圭佑にイジられるなど、やりとりも話題となっていた。
その影山さんは、13日に『DAZN』で配信された「内田篤人のFOOTBALL TIME」の2023年初回放送に出演。内田氏からは「影山大先生」と言われるなど、久々の出演となった。
番組冒頭では、アルゼンチン代表と予想した影山さんのフリップを投げ捨てたことを謝罪する内田氏の動画も配信された。
番組の中では、影山さんが2023年に最も注目する推し選手を紹介。多くの選手がいる中で、1人に絞ったとのこと。その選手は、アタランタに所属するイタリア代表DFジョルジョ・スカルヴィーニ(19)だった。
内田氏は「また渋いところから持ってきたね」と驚き。19歳のセンターバックと紹介すると「サイドのウインガーとやボランチを持ってこないのが渋いわ」と称賛した。
スカルヴィーニは、アタランタのアカデミー育ち。2021年7月にファーストチームに昇格すると、アタランタではここまで公式戦34試合で2ゴールを記録。既にイタリア代表デビューも果たし、3試合でプレーしている。
影山さんが推す理由を説明。「身長194cmで右利きなんですが左足も得意で、身長を生かした空中戦の強さもありますし、ビルドアップ能力もあって、現代的なセンターバックに必要な要素を全て兼ね備えていると言っても過言ではない」とスカルヴィーニを絶賛した。

イタリア代表のレジェンドでもある元守護神のジャンルイジ・ブッフォン氏が、ついに結婚式を執り行った。
パルマ、ユベントス、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)でもプレーし、数多くのタイトルを獲得してきたブッフォン。イタリア代表としても、2006年のドイツ・ワールドカップで優勝を経験し、サッカー史に残るGKとして活躍してきた。
2023年8月に自身が育ったクラブでもあるパルマで現役を引退。クラブキャリアでは975試合に出場し429試合でクリーンシートを達成。イタリア代表としても176試合に出場した言わずと知れたスター選手だ。
46歳となったブッフォン氏だが、2017年にプロポーズ。10年連れ添ったイラリア・ダミコさんとついに結婚式を執り行ったのだ。
イラリアさんは、弁護士を目指して勉強していた中、その後にイタリア『スカイ・スポーツ』のアナウンサーとなり、2018年に退職するまでプレゼンターやコメンテーターを務めていた。
ブッフォンは2017年にプロポーズしていたが、現役を引退するまで結婚することは待つことに決定。2023年にブッフォンが引退し、ついに2人は結ばれることに。そして、挙式を執り行った。
挙式は28日に行われ、ジョルジョ・キエッリーニ氏やルチアーノ・スパレッティ氏、レオナルド・ボヌッチ氏などかつてのチームメイトや恩師ら250人以上がゲストとして参加した。
ブッフォンは自身のインスタグラムにドレス姿のイラリアさんとの2ショットをアップ。ついに結ばれた2人の幸せそうな写真には祝福のコメントが寄せられていた。
ちなみに、ブッフォンとイラリアさんの間には4人の子供が既におり、FWとしてプレーする長男のルイス・トーマス・ブッフォンは16歳となった2023年7月にピサでプロ入りを果たしていた。

元イタリア代表FWグラツィアーノ・ペッレの妻であるヴィクトリア・ヴァルガさんの姿が話題沸騰だ。
ペッレはレッチェやパルマ、サンプドリアなどの母国クラブや、AZやフェイエノールトを経て、2014年から2016年まではサウサンプトンで活躍。2016年夏から“爆買い”の流れに乗じて中国の山東魯能に加わった。
その後、パルマへと再び加入したが、契約満了となった2021年7月を最後に所属チームがない状況。引退は明言していないものの、フリーの状態が続いている。
かねてから美人すぎると話題だったヴァルガさんとは2021年1月に婚姻。ハンガリー出身のモデルは2022年のハロウィンコスプレ姿が大きな話題をさらっていた。
ヴァルガさんは25日にもインスタグラムを更新。ピンクのビキニショットを公開した。
ドバイの砂のビーチではなく、岩礁に腰かけて日差しに目を細める一枚には「美しすぎて海の神様みたい」、「美しい」、「なんてキラーなビキニなんでしょう」、「まさに女神」、「素敵なマーメイド」などの声が多数寄せられるなど、またしてもインターネット上を沸かせることとなった。

▽現役時代にインテルなどで活躍した元イタリア代表DFマルコ・マテラッツィ氏が、2006年ドイツ・ワールドカップ(W杯)決勝で起こした元フランス代表MFジネディーヌ・ジダン氏との“頭突き事件”で、自身が発した侮辱発言の真相を明かした。同氏がフランス『レキップ』のインタビューで語った。
▽ジダン頭突き事件は、2006年7月9日にベルリン・オリンピアシュタディオンで行われたドイツW杯決勝のイタリア代表VSフランス代表の延長戦で起きた。それ以前から何度かジダン氏とマッチアップしていたマテラッツィ氏は、延長後半5分にジダン氏に対して、幾度か声をかけると、この挑発にのったジダン氏は無言のまま、マテラッツィ氏の胸に頭突きを見舞い、この暴力行為によってレッドカードを掲示され、自身の現役ラストマッチを退場という形で終えることになった。
▽マテラッツィ氏は、同事件からちょうど10年目を迎える前日の8日にジダン氏の母国フランスのメディア『レキップ』で、ジダン氏に向けて言い放った侮辱発言の真相を明かしている。
「以前から多くの人々に、ジダンにあのような行為(頭突き)をさせた自分の発言内容について聞かれ続けてきた。だから、私はそのことに関して本を出版することを決めた」
「多くの新聞が推測したように、私は彼の母親についてではなく、彼の姉について言及した。私は15歳の頃に自分の母親を亡くしている。だから、彼の母親を侮辱するほど下劣な人間ではないんだ」
「また、私はあの事件がなぜこれほどの騒ぎとなったのか、未だに理解できないんだ。私があの日に関して覚えているのは、自分が決めたゴールだけだ」
「時々、イタリアでは街中でファンと遭遇することがあるけど、彼らは“マルコ、あいつ(ジダン)から頭突きを受けるなんてうまくやったな”と声をかけてくるんだ。ただ、僕は頭突きされた側だから、少し腹立たしい気持ちになる。それはこの事件の奇妙な部分でもある。ただ、個人的には大したことだと思っていないし、あの行為に怒ってもいないんだ」
▽なおマテラッツィ氏は、ジダン頭突き事件後にイタリア国内のテレビ番組でこの侮辱発言に関して、「お前の姉貴より娼婦のほうがましだ」と発言していたことを認めていた。

2024年は1181試合の国際試合が行われた中、11月からここまでの間には21試合のみが開催。そのため、ほとんどの順位に変動が起こらなかった。
