2月27日、2022年の『ザ・ベスト・FIFAフットボールアウォーズ(The Best)』が行われ、プシュカシュ賞にはアンプティサッカーからマルシン・オレクシー(ポーランド/ヴァルタ・ポズナン)のゴールが選出された。アンプティサッカーの選手が同賞を受賞するのは史上初のこととなる。
2022年11月6日に行われたスタル・ジェシュフ戦に出場したオレクシーは、味方のクロスに対し2本の松葉杖を使って見事にジャンプすると、相手GKも反応できない完璧なバイシクルキックを決めていた。
日本アンプティサッカー協会(JAFA)によれば、アンプティサッカーとは、主に上肢又は下肢の切断障がいを持った人々により行われるサッカー。現在35歳の建設労働者であるオレクシーは、当時23歳だった2010年11月に作業中に車線を外れた車が衝突。事故により左足を失った。
『FIFA+』によれば事故前は、オレクシーは才能のあるGKだったという。左足を失ってから数年間はプレーしていなかったが、息子とのキックアバウトが再び熱意に火をつけたと紹介している。
FIFAの年間最優秀ゴール賞にあたるプスカシュ賞は、1950年代から1960年代までハンガリー代表やレアル・マドリーなどで活躍した伝説的なプレーヤーのフェレンツ・プスカシュ氏の栄誉を称賛するため、2009年から同氏の名前を冠している。
2022年の最終ノミネートには、オレクシーの得点を含めた3ゴール、マルセイユのフランス代表MFディミトリ・パイエのミドルシュート(4月7日、2021-22ヨーロッパ・カンファレンスリーグ(ECL)準々決勝1stレグPAOK戦)、トッテナムのブラジル代表FWリシャルリソンのバイシクル(11月24日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループG第1節セルビア代表戦の2点目)が選出されていた。

レヴァンドフスキは2013年にアナさんと結婚。長女のクララちゃんが2017年5月4日に、次女のローラちゃんが2020年5月6日に誕生と、2人の子供を授かっている。

ーランド代表の選手たちが、危険な目に遭っていた。
12日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選のアルバニア代表vsポーランド代表が行われ、ポーランドが0-1で勝利を収めた。
この試合では、拮抗した展開で試合が進んでいく中、77分にカロル・シフィデルスキがネットを揺らし、そのまま逃げ切ってポーランドが勝利を収めていた。
この結果、ポーランドはアルバニアを抜いて2位に浮上。首位のイングランド代表を勝ち点差「3」で追いかけている。
事件が起きたのはその先制ゴール直後だった。シフィデルスキがゴールを決め、そのまま喜びに行くと、アルバニアファンがスタンドから物を投げ込むという暴挙にでる。
スタンドの近くまで行っていたシフィデルスキらは上から投げつけられるボトルが直撃。頭を押さえながら、急いでピチtに戻っていた。
しかし、多くのボトルが投げ込まれた結果、ピッチの一部がボトルだらけに。その結果、20分以上も試合が中断される事態となっていた。
この事態にロベルト・レヴァンドフスキは「ゴールの後、フルボトル(750mlボトル)が飛んできて、ちょっと危険な状態だった。でも戻ってきて試合を終えたよ」とコメントしていた。
選手たちにケガは無かったようだが、投げ込まれたものによってはケガの危険性もあっただけに、アルバニアには何らかの処分が下される可能性があるようだ。

12日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選グループI第9節、アンドラ代表vsポーランド代表が行われたが、この試合では異例ともいえる速さで退場者を出すこととなった。
キックオフ後、アンドラは最終ラインにボールを下げ、前線へと長いボールを送る。アンドラFWリカール・フェルナンデス・ベトリウとポーランドDFカミル・グリクとの空中戦となると、この際にベトリウの肘がグリクの顔へとヒット。主審はホイッスルを鳴らして歩み寄ると、胸元からレッドカードを取り出した。
あまりにも早過ぎるキックオフからわずか20秒足らずでの退場劇。記録上は1分と記載されているが、これでアンドラはほぼ90分を数的不利で戦うことになってしまった。
ポーランドを相手にはあまりにも厳しい条件を背負うこととなり、案の定、直後の5分にロベルト・レヴァンドフスキに先制点を献上。11分にも追加点を許した。一時は1点差に追い付く健闘を見せたが、結果的には1-4で敗戦。序盤の退場の影響は小さくなかったようだ。
Jリーグでは東京ヴェルディのMF菅原智が2009年4月15日のJ2第8節サガン鳥栖戦で開始9秒で受けたレッドカード(記録上は1分)が最速とされている。なお、この試合では2-0で東京Vが勝利を収めている。
