過去にレイプ疑惑がかけられていたアル・ナスルのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウド。アメリカの裁判所により申し立てが却下されていた中、弁護士から費用が支払われることとなったようだ。アメリカ『CNN』が伝えた。
C・ロナウドは、アメリカ人モデルのキャスリン・マヨルガさんからの告発により、2009年にラスベガスの高級ホテルのペイントハウススウィートでレイプした疑いが浮上は容疑を否定していたものの、C・ロナウド側が口止め料としてマヨルガさん側に37万5000ドル(約4275万円)を支払うとの契約書の存在を公表されていた。
マヨルガさんは、事件直後に和解に同意したものの、示談金を遥かに超える何百万ドルもの金額を求めるようになっていった。
しかし、2022年6月にアメリカの裁判所はマヨルガさんの弁護士であるレスリー・マーク・ストヴァル氏が、機密で特権的な“不正な”情報を文書を証拠にしているとして訴訟を却下。「C・ロナウドに対して悪意を持って傷つけようとしている」とされていた。
アメリカ地方裁判所のジェニファー・ドーシー判事は、マヨルガさんの弁護士であるレスリー・ストーバル氏がC・ロナウドに対して334,637.50ドル(約4500万円)を支払う判決を下していた。
なお、マヨルガさんは2度とこの件で訴訟を起こすことはできないこととなり、C・ロナウドのレイプ疑惑はこれにて終息を迎えることとなっ
た。

アル・ナスルのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドの足の爪に注目が集まっている。イギリス『SPORTBIBLE』が伝えている。
先日自身のインスタグラムを更新し、趣味のサウナに入っているところを投稿したC・ロナウド。熱心なファンは、その筋骨隆々な肉体だけでなく、足の指を爪が黒く塗られていることに気が付いた。
C・ロナウドが足の爪を黒く塗るのはこれが初めてではなく、以前UFC世界ヘビー級王者のフランシス・ガヌーとの2ショットが話題になった時も、その爪に注目が集まっていた。
『SPORTBIBLE』によると、ドイツ『ビルト』の情報などをもとに、C・ロナウドが爪を黒く塗る理由が判明したという。
C・ロナウドに限らず、一部のアスリートは爪を菌やバクテリアから防ぐために、爪を塗ったり保護層で覆ったりするとのこと。多くのトップアスリートが行っており、元ボクシングヘビー級統一王者のマイク・タイソンもやっていたという。また、元UFCヘビー級王者のアンドレイ・アルロフスキーも同様にしていたようだ。
マニキュアの層が足の爪を覆うことで、試合中に爪が傷つく危険性を最小限に抑えることができるという。それは、C・ロナウドの「プロ意識の表れ」でもあると伝えている。
意外なところから注目を集めた話題だったが、こうした細かいこだわりや体への投資が、C・ロナウドが長く活躍する理由の1つのかもしれない。

去就を巡る話が騒がしいマンチェスター・シティのポルトガル代表MFベルナルド・シウバ(28)だが、幸せなオフを過ごしているようだ。
フル稼働した今シーズンは待望のチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)初制覇を含む3冠を成し遂げ、充実した1年を過ごしたシウバ。活躍に比例して、オフにはバルセロナ移籍を希望との噂のほか、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)やサウジアラビアのアル・ヒラルからの巨額オファーといった話が後を絶たない。
騒々しい外野とは打って変わってプライベートは充実そのもの。1日には婚約していたモデルのイネス・トマズさんと母国で結婚式と祝賀会を行い、現在は新婚旅行中だ。
2人は2020年から交際をスタートさせ、2022年5月にプロポーズ。今年4月に第1子の妊娠も発表していた。
ブドウ畑を望む丘の上のホテル兼ワイナリーで式を挙げた2人。ベルナルド・シウバがウエディングドレス姿のトマズさんを「史上最も美しい花嫁!」と紹介すれば、トマズさんも「私は世界で一番幸運な女の子です」と返すやり取りをインスタグラムで披露するなど、雰囲気にはファンの方があてられてしまいそうだ。
ハネムーンの行き先はインド洋の楽園、モルディブ。新妻が投稿した動画は、水着姿やイルカウォッチングの様子に加え、ビーチでのディナーと手を取り合う姿で締めくくられている。
非常に数多くの祝福が寄せられたシウバとトマズさん。しばらくは喧騒を離れ、2人だけの時間を満喫できそうだ。

IFFHS(国際サッカー歴史統計連盟)が、21世紀で最もプレーした選手のランキングを発表。トップ10には日本人選手もランクインした。
様々な統計を行うIFFHS。2022年までのデータを集計し、21世紀に入ってからのプレーした試合数をもとにランキングを作成した。
対象となるのは、各国のリーグ戦やカップ戦、国際カップ戦、代表チームの試合も含まれ、全ての公式戦が対象になっている。
今回の統計では1000試合以上プレーした選手が3人に増加。首位は昨年と変わらず、サウジアラビアへ活躍の場を移したポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウド(アル・ナスル)となり、1145試合を記録した。
2022年に1000試合を突破したのは、ブラジル代表DFダニエウ・アウベス(UNAMプーマス)とアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシ(パリ・サンジェルマン)。アウベスは1033試合、メッシは1003試合となった。メッシはカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)での試合で1000試合を超えたことになる。
そんな中、8位には日本人がランクイン。941試合に出場したMF遠藤保仁(ジュビロ磐田)だ。遠藤はガンバ大阪と磐田、そして日本代表での試合が21世紀に含まれている。なお、アジア人でも唯一となり、900試合以上を達成しているのも12名となっている。
