レアル・マドリーのベルギー代表GKティボー・クルトワ(30)が交際していたミシェル・ゲルジグさん(25)と婚約したことを発表した。
2018年にチェルシーからレアル・マドリーに加入し、守護神の座に定着しているクルトワ。今シーズンも公式戦51試合に出場すると、チームはラ・リーガで35度目のリーグ優勝を達成。さらにチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)でも4年ぶり14度目の栄冠に輝き、クルトワにとっては初のビッグイヤー獲得となった。
充実のシーズンを過ごしたクルトワだが、プライベートでも充実さをうかがわせた。5日にミシェルさんとともにインスタグラムを更新すると、イタリアのアマルフィ海岸近くに停めた船でプロポーズする様子を公開。200cmと大柄なクルトワがひざまずきながらミシェルさんの指に指輪をはめており、「あなたとの生涯にイエス」と返事を貰ったようだ。
この日はミシェルさんの誕生日だったようで、クルトワは改めて最愛の人にメッセージを送っている。
「未来の妻であり、一番のサポーターでもあり、毎日笑わせてくれる人、そして特にこの素晴らしい子供たちにとって素晴らしい母、ハッピーバースデーを。僕たちのためにしてくれていること全てに、感謝してもしきれないよ!愛してるよ!」
クルトワは2人の子供を産んだスペイン人のパートナーと2016年9月ごろに離婚。ミシェルさんとは2021年8月に堂々の交際宣言をしていた。

レアル・マドリーのベルギー代表GKティボー・クルトワが、キャプテンの座を巡って怒りを爆発させているようだ。ベルギー『Nieuwsblad』が伝えている。
ベルギー代表はカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)までキャプテンを務めていたFWエデン・アザールが代表チームから引退し、3月の代表ウィークからはその座をマンチェスター・シティのMFケビン・デ・ブライネが引き継いでいる。
そのデ・ブライネはチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)決勝戦・インテル戦で負傷交代した影響で、17日に行われたユーロ2024予選・グループF第3節のオーストリア代表戦は不在。代わりにインテルのFWロメル・ルカクがキャプテンマークを巻いて先発フル出場した。
クルトワはこの決定が気に入らなかったようで、なんと翌18日夜の全体ミーティングに参加せず。ドメニコ・デデスコ監督はオーストリア代表戦はルカク、20日の第4節・エストニア代表戦をクルトワにキャプテンを任せることで両選手と合意していたものの、クルトワは2試合とも自らが適任だと考えていたという。
怒りに拍車をかけたのが、オーストリア代表戦で1-1のドローに終わったという事実。クルトワは試合後、一部のチームメイトに烈火のごとく厳しい言葉を投げかけたといい、クルトワのこの行為そのものはよくある光景だそうだが、チームの集まりに姿を現さなかったことで、チームメイトたちも試合結果以外で何か不満を抱えていると気づき始めたようだ。
クルトワ本人はオーストリア代表戦で軽傷を負ったとのことで、エストニア代表戦の出場は不透明。この問題の解決はデデスコ監督の対応にかかっているとみられている。

レアル・マドリーのベルギー代表GKティボー・クルトワと、婚約者でモデルのミシェル・ゲルジグさんが、結婚式を前にした姿が話題となっている。
およそ1年前、交際していた2人はイタリアのアマルフィ海岸で婚約。シーズンを終えたこのタイミングで、結婚式が予定されている。
プレウェディング・パーティーは2度行われ、1つはハンガリーのブダペスト、もう1つはスペインのマルベージャで行われた。
そして結婚式は南フランスのカンヌで開催。ベルギー出身のクルトワとイスラエル出身のゲルジグさんにとっては縁はない土地だが、2人が幸せに包まれる場所に選んだ。
クルトワとゲルジグさんは、インスタグラムでその様子をアップ。共に純白の衣装を身に纏い、クルトワは「ドルチェ&ガッバーナ」のジャケット、ポロシャツ、白のパンツを選択。ゲルジグさんはレバノンのブランド「MÔNOT」の白のミニドレスを選択し、ターコイズブルーの「ジミーチュウ」のヒールを合わせていた。
これには「美しすぎる」、「世界で一番美しい」、「気を失いそうだ」、「最も美しいカップル」、「息ができない」とその美しさに飲まれる人々が続出している。

アーセナルのベルギー代表FWレアンドロ・トロサールの妙技が反響を呼んでいる。
1月にブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンからアーセナルへと加入したトロサール。昨季は後半戦だけで2ゴール10アシストと結果を残すと、今季も準主力という扱いながらここまで公式戦14試合の出場で6ゴール2アシストをマークするなど、限られた出場機会で結果を残している。
ベルギー代表でも地位を築きつつあるトロサールは、19日に行われたユーロ2024予選グループF最終節のアゼルバイジャン代表戦に先発出場。90分にはダメ押しのゴールも決めていた中、36分のテクニカルなプレーが話題だ。
相手陣内左サイドで味方のドリブルのこぼれ球を拾ったトロサールは、相手がスライディングしてくることを予期していたかのようにボールを浮かせてかわす。
さらに浮かせたボールを空中でタッチして収めると、その次のタッチで奪いに来た追手のディフェンダーの股を抜いていた。
空中でもボールを自在に操るプレーは大きな話題となっていた中で、23日にはベルギー代表の公式X(旧ツイッター)も改めてそのプレーを正面から捉えた映像を公開している。
ファンは「まじですごい」、「クレイジーすぎる」、「900回見てもいい」、「大空翼が現実に」、「漫画やん」、「信じられない」とコメント。何度見ても色褪せない好プレーが脚光を浴びている。

なかなかお目に掛かれないスーパーゴールもあれば、外す方が難しいようなミスある。
再び脚光を浴びているのはベルギー、ジュピラー・プロ・リーグ2020-21シーズンの第5節、メヘレンvsオーステンデの一戦での一コマだ。両チームゴールレスで迎えて67分にそれは起きた。
クロスに対応したDFのキックが中途半端なクリアとなり、ゴール前に大きく浮きあがる。これを処理しようと飛び出したGKだが、パンチングはヒットし損ね、自身も相手選手との交錯で転倒。ゴールはがら空きの状態となる。
両チームの選手がボックス左でのこぼれ球に反応すると、攻撃側の選手が先に触り、ループ気味のシュートが無人のゴールへ。これはバーに阻まれるも、唯一詰めていたU-21ベルギー代表MFアステル・ブランクスが胸コントロールして流し込む。
かに思えたが、ブランクスはキックの瞬間に球を踏んでしまい、バランスを崩して尻もちをついてしまう。しかも、シュートになり損ねたボールは無常にもポストに。最後は慌ててカバーに入った守備陣に対応された。
頭を抱え、手で顔を覆ってうなだれるブランクス。動画の閲覧者からは「ミスを完遂」、「プスカシュ賞もの」、「トーレスやヴェルナー以上だわ」などのコメントが。多くの人の目を惹いたこの動画は、再生回数700万回に到達しようとしている。
試合も終了間際にオーステンデにゴールを許し、敗れたメヘレン。現在はヴォルフスブルクでプレーするブランクスだが、当時17歳の彼にとっても忘れない記憶となっているだろう。
