国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)は13日、アルゼンチンサッカー協会(AFA)への処分を行うことを発表した。
昨年行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)。史上初の冬開催となった大会では、アルゼンチン代表がフランス代表をPK戦の末に下し、36年ぶり3度目の優勝を果たしていた。
英雄でもあるFWリオネル・メッシにとって最後のW杯での悲願達成に沸き、優勝パレードでは400万人が集まったとされる中、FIFA規律委員会は処分を下すことを決めた。
FIFAによれば、FIFA規律規程の第11条(攻撃的行為およびフェアプレーの原則の違反)および第12条(選手および役員の不正行為)に違反する可能性があるとのこと。AFAを処分することに決めたという。
また、AFAはカタールW杯でのメディアおよびマーケティングに関する規程にも違反しているという。なお、FIFAは処分の対象となる事象についての詳細は明かしていない。
アルゼンチン代表は、決勝戦でもPKストップの活躍を見せたアストン・ビラのGKエミリアーノ・マルティネスが侮辱行為をしたことが問題に。ゴールデングローブ(最優秀GK)を受賞したときには、トロフィーを股間に当てるパフォーマンスを見せたほか、試合後にはフランス代表FWキリアン・ムバッペを嘲笑する行為がドレッシングルームでも確認されていた。
また、優勝パレード時には赤ちゃんの人形にムバッペの写真を貼り付けて嘲笑するなど、その行き過ぎた行為にはアルゼンチン国民やアストン・ビラのウナイ・エメリ監督からも苦言が呈されていた。
なお、FIFAはアルゼンチン以外にも、エクアドル、メキシコ、セルビア、クロアチアへも処分を下すことを発表している。
3位に終わったクロアチアは、モロッコ代表との3位決定戦の試合中にFIFA規律規程の第13条(差別)および第16条(試合の秩序と安全)に違反した可能性があるとされている。
セルビアには、罰金5万スイスフラン(約690万円)と、男子A代表の次のFIFA公式試合でスタジアムの25%が閉鎖される処分が下された。
セルビアは、カタールW杯のグループステージのスイス代表戦での出来事が問題視され、サポーターによるチャントとチームの不正行為(7人の選手に対する個々の制裁)に関して、FIFA懲戒規程の第13条(差別)および第12条(選手と役員の不正行為)の違反があったという。
エクアドルには、罰金2万スイスフラン(約276万円)と男子A代表の次のFIFA公式試合でのゴール裏の閉鎖という処分が下された。
エクアドルは、カタールW杯のカタール代表戦で、サポーターのチャントがFIFA規律規程の第13条(差別)の違反に該当するという。
メキシコには、罰金10万スイスフラン(約1380万円)と1試合の無観客試合(執行猶予付き)の処分が下された。
メキシコは、カタールW杯のポーランド代表戦とサウジアラビア代表戦でサポーターが歌ったチャントがFIFA規律規程の第13条(差別)の違反に該当した。

メキシコサッカー連盟(FMF) とアディダスは14日、新ユニフォームを発表した。
2022年のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、グループステージ敗退に終わったメキシコ。その後ディエゴ・コッカ監督を招へいしたもののわずか4カ月で解任。現在は2021年の東京オリンピックでメキシコを指揮したハイメ・ロサーノ氏が指揮を執っている。
2026年の北中米W杯は開催国としてすでに出場権を得ているなか、コパ・アメリカ2024にも出場するメキシコが新ユニフォームを発表している。
そのホームユニフォームは、採用されることが多いグリーンではなく、渋めの赤がベースに。1930～1950年代の代表でメインカラーに採用されていた色を取り入れている。
そして、なんといっても特徴的なのがそのデザイン。シャツの前後にはメキシコの神話で伝わる孔雀の羽をイメージしたという柄を全体にデザインし、それ以外の要素は白であしらっている。
さらに、アウェイユニフォームのデザインも唯一無二なものに。メキシコの豊かな文化遺産と国の未来からインスピレーションを得て、伝統と現代性の融合を実現させたというデザインには、古代アステカ文明に見られるトライアングルやジグザグなどの幾何学模様が組み合わさった模様をシャツ前面に採用。メキシコの文化的ルーツに敬意を払いながら、現代的なひねりを加えている。
そのデザインには、「マジか!」、「今までで一番ひどい」、「緑色にしてくれ」、「革新的なユニフォームは嫌いじゃない」とファンから反響が寄せられている。
また、ファンは今なお2021年に33年ぶりに変更した新しいエンブレムが受け入れられない模様。新ユニフォーム発表の投稿には、「前のエンブレムを返して!」、「エンブレムを戻してくれ」、「前のエンブレムだったらもっと良かっただろう」といった嘆きの声が多くあがっている。

▽メキシコサッカー連盟(FMF)は3日、11月に行われるロシア・ワールドカップ北中米カリブ海最終予選に臨むメキシコ代表メンバー25名を発表した。
▽今回のメンバーには、FWジョバニ・ドス・サントス(ロサンゼルス・ギャラクシー)とMFジョナタン・ドス・サントス(ビジャレアル)の兄弟が選出。また、先月の国際親善試合で招集外となっていたFWハビエル・エルナンデス(レバークーゼン)や、DFラファエル・マルケス(アトラス)、GKギジェルモ・オチョア(グラナダ)などが復帰した。
▽上位3チームがワールドカップの出場権を得られる北中米カリブ海最終予選が11月から開幕。メキシコは11日にアウェイでアメリカ代表と、15日にアウェイでパナマ代表と対戦する。今回発表されたメキシコ代表メンバーは以下のとおり。

26日に行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループC第2節、アルゼンチン代表vsメキシコ代表で乱闘騒ぎがあったようだ。アルゼンチン『Ole』などが伝えている。
激戦となった一戦では、スタンドで一部のファンがヒートアップし過ぎた模様。きっかけは不明とのことだが、両チームのサポーターが取っ組み合いとなった上に殴り合いに。あるアルゼンチンのサポーターは鼻血か口を切ったか、アルビセレステのユニフォームにはおびただしい血痕が飛び散っている。
ケガをしたファンは警備員に連れられて会場を後にしたとのこと。「(抗争は)あくまでも一部で一般的なものではなかった。暴力は民間伝承ではありません...」と同紙がまとめているように、熱が入ったとしても暴力は許されることではない。
なお、初戦のサウジアラビア代表戦を逆転負けで終えていたアルゼンチンだが、この日はFWリオネル・メッシ、MFエンソ・フェルナンデスのゴールで2-0と勝利。最終節のポーランド代表戦に勝てば自力でのグループステージ突破が決まる。
一方、敗れたメキシコは1分け1敗で最下位に転落。とはいえ、決勝トーナメント進出の可能性は残されており、サウジアラビアに勝てば突破の勝算は十分にある状況だ。
最終節は今節以上に激闘が予想されるが、応援の熱は正しい方向へ用いてもらいたいものだ。

日本サッカー協会(JFA)は5日、6日に行われる東京オリンピック男子サッカーの3位決定戦に関して、キックオフ時間が変更になったことを発表した。
