バイエルンのポーランド代表FWロベルト・レヴァンドフスキが子供の誕生日を祝った。
レヴァンドフスキは2013年にアナさんと結婚。長女のクララちゃんが2017年5月4日に、次女のローラちゃんが2020年5月6日に誕生と、2人の子供を授かっている。

2月27日、2022年の『ザ・ベスト・FIFAフットボールアウォーズ(The Best)』が行われ、プシュカシュ賞にはアンプティサッカーからマルシン・オレクシー(ポーランド/ヴァルタ・ポズナン)のゴールが選出された。アンプティサッカーの選手が同賞を受賞するのは史上初のこととなる。
2022年11月6日に行われたスタル・ジェシュフ戦に出場したオレクシーは、味方のクロスに対し2本の松葉杖を使って見事にジャンプすると、相手GKも反応できない完璧なバイシクルキックを決めていた。
日本アンプティサッカー協会(JAFA)によれば、アンプティサッカーとは、主に上肢又は下肢の切断障がいを持った人々により行われるサッカー。現在35歳の建設労働者であるオレクシーは、当時23歳だった2010年11月に作業中に車線を外れた車が衝突。事故により左足を失った。
『FIFA+』によれば事故前は、オレクシーは才能のあるGKだったという。左足を失ってから数年間はプレーしていなかったが、息子とのキックアバウトが再び熱意に火をつけたと紹介している。
FIFAの年間最優秀ゴール賞にあたるプスカシュ賞は、1950年代から1960年代までハンガリー代表やレアル・マドリーなどで活躍した伝説的なプレーヤーのフェレンツ・プスカシュ氏の栄誉を称賛するため、2009年から同氏の名前を冠している。
2022年の最終ノミネートには、オレクシーの得点を含めた3ゴール、マルセイユのフランス代表MFディミトリ・パイエのミドルシュート(4月7日、2021-22ヨーロッパ・カンファレンスリーグ(ECL)準々決勝1stレグPAOK戦)、トッテナムのブラジル代表FWリシャルリソンのバイシクル(11月24日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループG第1節セルビア代表戦の2点目)が選出されていた。

ウェストハムに所属するポーランド代表GKウカシュ・ファビアンスキ(36)が、ポーランド代表でのラストマッチで感極まった。
2006年3月に行われたサウジアラビア代表戦でポーランド代表デビューを飾ったファビアンスキは、アルトゥール・ボルツやヴォイチェフ・シュチェスニーらとポジションを争いながら、これまで通算56試合に出場してきた。
しかし、近年は所属するウェストハムで負傷離脱が続いた影響などもあり、今年8月に代表引退を発表した。
そういった中、今回のインターナショナルマッチウィークでは、ファビアンスキの長年に渡る貢献に報いたいポーランドサッカー協会(PZPN)の発案によって、9日にホームで行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選のサンマリノ代表戦が、同選手の代表ラストマッチに設定されることに。
そして、サンマリノ戦で代表57キャップ目を刻んだファビアンスキは、チームが3-0でリードしていた57分にGKラドスラウ・マイェッキとの交代でピッチを後にすることに。
その際、ホームサポーターからスタンディングオベーションを送られた36歳のベテランGKは、感極まって人目をはばからずに涙を流しながらピッチをゆっくりと歩き、ピッチサイドでは自チームと、サンマリノの選手たちによって作られた花道を通って愛する代表に別れを告げた。

バルセロナのポーランド代表FWロベルト・レヴァンドフスキが結婚10周年を祝った。
バイエルンからスペインへと活躍の場を移しながら、加入1年目でバルセロナの主砲として見事な活躍を見せたレヴァンドフスキ。ラ・リーガでは23ゴールを挙げ得点王に輝くと、チームも4年ぶりのリーグ優勝を達成した。
ポーランド代表でのユーロ2024予選の戦いも終え、オフシーズンへと入ったレヴァンドフスキだが、22日に自身のインスタグラムを更新。結婚10周年を迎えたことを明かし、妻への感謝を綴った。
「日ごとにますます君を愛している。君と過ごしたこの10年間は、私の人生で最高の時間だった。今日は僕たちの愛を祝う日。いつも私のそばにいてくれてありがとう。僕の人生は君と一緒で完璧だ。10周年おめでとう」
レヴァンドフスキは、2007年に初めて出会ったというアナ・レヴァンドフスカさんと2013年に結婚。アナさんは空手家として、シニア世界選手権で3個のメダルを獲得し、さまざまな年齢層で6個のヨーロッパ選手権のメダルを獲得。ポーランド選手権では29個のメダルを獲得した実力者だ。
また、体育の学位を所持し、栄養学の専門家でもあるアナさんは、栄養補助食品を販売する会社や化粧品ブランドも立ち上げ、起業家としても活躍。2人の子どもを持つ母親ながら大活躍しており、アナさん自身もインスタグラムで500万人を超えるフォロワーを抱えるポーランドの国民的美女だ。
それぞれのインスタグラムでは度々仲睦まじい姿を見せる2人。レヴァンドフスキが活躍を続けられる理由の1つに妻のサポートがありそうだ。

アブハ・クラブに所属するポーランド代表MFグジェゴシュ・クリホヴィアク(33)が代表引退を発表した。
今月のインターナショナルマッチウィークでは2試合に先発出場し、直近のアルバニア代表戦では代表通算100試合出場という偉業を達成していたクリホヴィアク。
しかし、その偉業達成から約2週間後の26日に自身の公式SNSを通じて代表引退を電撃的に発表した。
「白鷲を胸に掲げて100試合をプレーできたことは、僕にとって一人の人間としてもアスリートとしても常に最高の名誉だった」
「スポーツにおいて、国立競技場での代表チームの試合前の国歌斉唱ほど美しい瞬間はない。だけど、皆さんに「ありがとう」という言葉を言うときが来たんだ」
「今日、僕はポーランド代表チームでのプレーを辞める決断を下した」
「良いときも悪いときも一緒にいてくれたファンに感謝し、皆さんに僕らを誇りに思ってもらえるよう、僕はどの試合でも全力を尽くした。妻、家族、監督、スタッフ、そして代表の旅で出会ったすべての人に感謝したいと思う」
「これからの代表チームのすべての試合を楽しみにしているよ。そしてスタンドでお会いしましょう!」
アンダー年代からポーランド代表の常連だったクリホヴィアクは、2008年12月に行われたセルビア代表戦でA代表デビュー。以降は15年間の代表キャリアを通じて100試合に出場し、5ゴールを記録。
2018年と2022年の2度のワールドカップ、2016年と2021年の2度のユーロと大舞台でもプレーし、同世代のFWロベルト・レヴァンドフスキらと共に長年に渡って代表チームの主力を担ってきた。
また、かつてセビージャでヨーロッパリーグ3連覇に貢献した守備的MFは、パリ・サンジェルマンやロコモティフ・モスクワ、クラスノダール、AEKアテネといったクラブでもプレー。
