日本サッカー協会(JFA)は11日、トレーニングキャンプに臨むU-19日本女子代表候補メンバーを発表した。
なでしこジャパンの指揮も執る池田太監督が率いるU-19日本女子代表。10月には2022年にコスタリカで行われるU-20女子ワールドカップ(W杯)の出場が決定しており、そこに向けて準備を進めている。
今回のトレーニングキャンプには、WEリーグでsプレーする選手も多く招集。世代別代表に選ばれ続けたFW島田芽依(三菱重工浦和レッズレディース)やMF大山愛笑(日テレ・東京ヴェルディメニーナ)らが招集。先日WEリーグ初ゴールを決めたMF吉田莉胡(ちふれASエルフェン埼玉)も招集された。
また、ユース選手の他、大学からはGK石田心菜(早稲田大学)、高校からはFW藤野あおば(十文字高校)が選出されている。

イギリスメディア『AlalyticsFC』がWEリーグの若手5選手をピックアップしている。
データを生かしてのコラムを執筆する同サイトは、世界のトップリーグで活躍する岩渕真奈(トッテナム)や長谷川唯(マンチェスター・シティ)、杉田妃和(ポートランド・ソーンズFC)らに加え、今冬にINAC神戸レオネッサからチェルシーへと加入し、ハンマルビーIFへと期限付き移籍した浜野まいかなどを引き合いにだし、「日本はトップクラスの人材を輩出する国としての地位をはっきりと確立している」と述べた。
その中で「日本のWEリーグ、5人のライジングスター」と題し、20歳以下のニューヒロイン候補を紹介。昨年のU-20女子ワールドカップ(W杯)の準優勝メンバーであり、すでになでしこジャパンにも招集されているFW藤野あおば(日テレ・東京ヴェルディベレーザ)やDF石川璃音(三菱重工浦和レッズレディース)に加え、同メンバーからMF吉田莉胡(ちふれASエルフェン埼玉)やFW島田芽依(三菱重工浦和レッズレディース)らに脚光を当てた。
昨季はリーグ戦4ゴール、今季もすでに6得点で得点ランキングトップタイに立つ藤野は、90分換算の平均ゴール関与率は0.84で、ベレーザの最も生産的なアタッカーと称された。
石川は南萌華の移籍や高橋はなの長期離脱の中で浦和Lでの地位を確保。判断力や身体能力、ポジショニングがコア属性で、多少のミスはありながらもそれらを最小限にとどめて同年代のセンターバック陣の中では非常に成長を感じると評されている。
吉田は滑らかなドリブルやクロスが特徴で、ゴール関与率は昨季の0.28から0.43へと上昇。昨季最下位だったEL埼玉は田辺新監督の下でシステムや戦術変更を行い、吉田も最前線やウイングバックと様々なポジションで出場しているため、一人の功績でチーム成績が向上したとは断言できないとしながらも、祐村ひかるとのコンビネーションも冴え、改善に大きく貢献していると紹介されている。
島田もここまでリーグ戦で4ゴール。シュートの正確さやパワー、狭いエリアでの動きが彼女の特徴で、優位性は日本の若いストライカーとしては珍しい資質と称された。
さらにダイヤの原石とうたわれているのが、3月のU-19日本女子代表候補に選出されたノジマステラ神奈川相模原の笹井一愛だ。
[4-3-3]のウイングとして躍動する18歳はトリッキーなドリブルが目を惹く。育成組織ドゥーエからの昇格組ながら今季は12試合中8試合に先発出場し、645分間プレー。ボックス内にも顔を覗かせ、至近距離から3ゴールを決めている。
すでに各クラブでは十分な存在感を示している5選手。今後の活躍だけでなく、動向にも注目が集まりそうだ。
