レアル・マドリーは今夏の移籍市場で左サイドバックの補強にも動くようだ。
UEFAスーパーカップを除き今シーズンの主要タイトルをすべて逃すことが決定的となったマドリー。エル・クラシコ敗戦翌日にはカルロ・アンチェロッティ監督の今シーズン限りの退団が決定し、新シーズンはレバークーゼンの指揮官を今季限りで退任するシャビ・アロンソ監督を新指揮官に迎えて捲土重来を期す。
新シーズンに向けてはすでにリバプールのイングランド代表DFトレント・アレクサンダー=アーノルドの獲得が内定。また、懸念のセンターバックではボーンマスのスペイン代表DFディーン・ハイセン、リバプールとアーセナルでプレーするフランス代表のイブラヒマ・コナテ、ウィリアム・サリバらの名前が挙がっている。
そんななか、クラブはフランス代表DFフェルラン・メンディの離脱が続き、2番手のスペイン人DFフラン・ガルシアの力不足も否めない左サイドバックの補強にも動くようだ。
以前にはバイエルンのカナダ代表DFアルフォンソ・デイビス獲得に動いていたが、現在のターゲットは新指揮官の教え子とクラブ在籍歴がある3選手が有力な候補だという。
1人目はレバークーゼンでプレーするスペイン代表DFアレハンドロ・グリマルドで、スペイン『Cadena SER』は適切な移籍金で獲得可能な元バルセロナDFが指揮官のラブコールに応じる可能性は高いとみている。
その他ではミランのフランス代表DFテオ・エルナンデス、ジローナのスペイン人DFミゲル・グティエレス、ベンフィカU-21スペイン代表DFアルバロ・カレーラス。いずれもクラブのカンテラに在籍経験があり、スペイン『Relevo』は900万ユーロ(約14億8000万円)の買い戻し条項を有するグティエレスは具体的なターゲットになると考えている。
また、それ以外でもボーンマスのハンガリー代表DFミロシュ・ケルケズ、アヤックスのオランダ代表DFジョエル・ハトにも関心を示しているという。
いずれの選手も3バックと4バックを併用する新指揮官のスタイルに合致しそうなプロフィールの持ち主だが、どの選手がエル・ブランコの新戦力になるのか。

U-21スペイン代表MFブラヒム・ディアスがミラン復帰の喜びを体現した。
ブラヒム・ディアスは2019年1月にマンチェスター・シティからレアル・マドリーへ移籍したものの、出場機会には恵まれず2020年夏に1年間のレンタル移籍でミランに加入。公式戦39試合出場7ゴール4アシストの成績を残した。
レンタル期間を終え一時は所属元のマドリーに戻ったブラヒム・ディアスだったが、トルコ代表MFハカン・チャルハノール退団によって中盤の補強が必要となったミランが再び獲得に着手。2200万ユーロ(約28億5000万円)の買い取りオプションが付随した2年レンタルという形で、ミラノの地に舞い戻った。
背番号が昨シーズンの「21」から「10」に変更となったブラヒム・ディアスは喜びを体現。自身のインスタグラムを更新し、「約束を守ったよ」というコメントともに右半分を赤、左半分を黒に染めたニューヘアスタイルにイメチェンした。
この“約束”とは同僚のフランス人DFテオ・エルナンデスとの間で交わした、2020-21シーズン中にミランがチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)の出場権を獲得したら「髪を赤と黒に染める」というもの。ミランはセリエAを2位で終え、見事CL出場権を獲得していた。
テオ・エルナンデスは約束を守り6月中に実行していたが、新シーズンもミランで過ごすことが決まったブラヒム・ディアスも約束を果たした。

フランス代表DFリュカ・エルナンデスが、チームを決勝に導いた弟を称えた。
14日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)の準決勝でフランスはモロッコ代表と対戦した。
ディフェンディングチャンピオンとして臨んだ今大会。FWカリム・ベンゼマやMFポール・ポグバ、MFエンゴロ・カンテなど主軸にケガ人が続出し、苦しい中スタートした大会だったが、順調に勝ち上がり準決勝に駒を進めた。
アフリカ勢初のベスト4進出を果たし、躍進が続くモロッコとの決戦となったが、試合は5分に右サイドを崩すと、最後はDFテオ・エルナンデスがアクロバティックなシュートで叩き込み先制。後半にはFWランダル・コロ・ムアニが追加点を奪い、2-0で勝利を収めた。
60年ぶりのW杯連覇にむけ、決勝に駒を進めたフランス。リュカは初戦のオーストラリア代表戦に先発出場するも、開始13分で負傷交代。弟のテオと交代していた。
結果、右ヒザ前十字じん帯断裂の重傷と判明し手術。そのままW杯が終了してしまうこととなった。
モロッコ戦で決勝ゴールを決めたテオは、試合後のインタビューで「兄と幸せを分かち合いたい」とコメント。無念の重傷を負った兄を想ったコメントを残していた。
そんな中、リュカは自身のインスタグラムのストーリーズを更新。「誇り」と短く綴り、弟の写真を投稿した。
チームを連覇まであと一歩のところまで押し上げる活躍をした弟を称えたが、これにテオも反応。「我が兄貴」と、兄の投稿を喜んだ。
兄弟揃ってのW杯でのプレーは叶わなかったが、弟が負傷離脱の兄の意思を引き継いでプレー。フランスは連覇を成し遂げることはできるだろうか。
