警察官へ「愚かで白人」発言、人種差別容疑がかけられたオーストラリア女子のエースFWカーは無罪判決「不適切な発言は謝罪します」

事件はカーのフィアンセでもあり、第一子を妊娠中のアメリカ女子代表MFクリスティ・ミュイスと出掛けていた。夕方、2人は3度Uberを呼んだものの失敗。ロンドン中心部でタクシーを拾い、カーの自宅へと帰った。

しかし、タクシー運転手は警察に電話をかけて苦情を申し立て。ミューイスが車内で嘔吐し、窓を割ったものの、清掃費用などの支払いを拒否したという。

その際、警察署へと連れて行かれた2人だが、カーが暴言を吐いたとされていた。警察官のボディカメラに映像が残っており、カーが「正直に言うと、あなたたちは本当にバカで白人だ。目を見て言うけど、あなたたちは本当にバカだ。このクソみたいなことにうんざりしている」と発言している姿が残っていた。カーは発言こそ否定しなかったが、容疑は否定していた。

陪審員は4時間にわたる審議の上、カーを無罪にすることを決定。判決後の声明でカーは「ようやくこの困難な時期を乗り越えることができました」とし、「トラウマ的な夜に不適切な発言をしたことを謝罪します。一方で、私は常に、誰かを侮辱したり傷つけたりするつもりはなかったと主張してきましたし、陪審員が全員一致で同意してくれたことに感謝します」とした。

さらに「私はピッチに戻ることに完全に集中しており、私と家族にとってエキサイティングな1年になることを楽しみにしています」と、今シーズンの活躍を誓った。

警察官へ「愚かで白人」発言、人種差別容疑がかけられたオーストラリア女子のエースFWカーは無罪判決「不適切な発言は謝罪します」

警察官への人種差別容疑がかけられていたオーストラリア女子代表のエースでありチェルシーに所属するFWサマンサ・カーだが、無罪判決を受けることとなった。女子サッカー界でも知られた選手の1人であるカー。オーストラリア女子代表のエースでもあり、チェルシーの攻撃も牽引するストライカーだ。しかし、2023年1月30日に警察署内で事件が発生。警察官に対し、人種差別的な嫌がらせや不安、苦痛を与えたとして告発されていた。事件はカーのフィアンセでもあり、第一子を妊娠中のアメリカ女子代表MFクリスティ・ミュイスと出掛けていた。夕方、2人は3度Uberを呼んだものの失敗。ロンドン中心部でタクシーを拾い、カーの自宅へと帰った。しかし、タクシー運転手は警察に電話をかけて苦情を申し立て。ミューイスが車内で嘔吐し、窓を割ったものの、清掃費用などの支払いを拒否したという。その際、警察署へと連れて行かれた2人だが、カーが暴言を吐いたとされていた。警察官のボディカメラに映像が残っており、カーが「正直に言うと、あなたたちは本当にバカで白人だ。目を見て言うけど、あなたたちは本当にバカだ。このクソみたいなことにうんざりしている」と発言している姿が残っていた。カーは発言こそ否定しなかったが、容疑は否定していた。陪審員は4時間にわたる審議の上、カーを無罪にすることを決定。判決後の声明でカーは「ようやくこの困難な時期を乗り越えることができました」とし、「トラウマ的な夜に不適切な発言をしたことを謝罪します。一方で、私は常に、誰かを侮辱したり傷つけたりするつもりはなかったと主張してきましたし、陪審員が全員一致で同意してくれたことに感謝します」とした。さらに「私はピッチに戻ることに完全に集中しており、私と家族にとってエキサイティングな1年になることを楽しみにしています」と、今シーズンの活躍を誓った。 2025.02.12 19:45 Wed
