女子サッカー界を代表する2人の間に赤ちゃんが誕生する予定だ。おめでたいニュースを発表したのは、チェルシー・ウィメンのオーストラリア女子代表FWサマンサ・カー(31)と、ウェストハム・ウィメンの元アメリカ女子代表MFクリスティ・ミュイス(33)の2人。カーが自身のインスタグラムで「ミュイスとカーの赤ちゃんは2025年に誕生予定!」と発表した。

2人によれば、ミュイスが赤ちゃんを妊娠するとのこと。ウェストハムはインスタグラムを通じ「第一子を妊娠していることを発表したクリスティとパートナーのサムに心からお祝い申し上げます」と祝福した。
カーはオーストラリア女子サッカー界のアイドル的存在であり、チェルシーでもFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で5連覇を達成。女子FAカップで3回、リーグカップで2回優勝を経験している。

現在はヒザのじん帯損傷でプレーできない状態だが、6月にチェルシーと2年契約を結んだ。
一方もミュウィスは、アメリカ女子代表として53試合に出場。2023年12月にNJ/NYゴッサムFCからウェストハムに加入した。

2人は2023年のオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップに互いに国を代表して出場するなど、女子サッカー界の実力者。おめでたい話となった。

「ヤバすぎ」「メッシと並んでる」長谷川唯が百科事典の表紙に大抜擢! スペインで発行される表紙の5人に選ばれる「ついにここまで来たか」

なでしこジャパン勢ら4名も追加!EAが『FIFA23』内NWSL選手のレーティングを公開、日本女子トップは?

同姓同名の選手がいたら入れ替わりを疑え?2人の“サム・カー”が代表戦でユニフォーム交換!

激闘制したオーストラリアが初のベスト4入り!10人目までもつれたPK戦の末フランスを下す【女子W杯2023】

女子サッカー界のスター、豪女子代表FWカーと元米女子代表MFミュウィスのカップルが妊娠を発表…来年ミュウィスが出産

警察官への人種差別容疑がかけられていたオーストラリア女子代表のエースでありチェルシーに所属するFWサマンサ・カーだが、無罪判決を受けることとなった。 女子サッカー界でも知られた選手の1人であるカー。オーストラリア女子代表のエースでもあり、チェルシーの攻撃も牽引するストライカーだ。 しかし、2023年1月30日に警察署内で事件が発生。警察官に対し、人種差別的な嫌がらせや不安、苦痛を与えたとして告発されていた。 事件はカーのフィアンセでもあり、第一子を妊娠中のアメリカ女子代表MFクリスティ・ミュイスと出掛けていた。夕方、2人は3度Uberを呼んだものの失敗。ロンドン中心部でタクシーを拾い、カーの自宅へと帰った。 しかし、タクシー運転手は警察に電話をかけて苦情を申し立て。ミューイスが車内で嘔吐し、窓を割ったものの、清掃費用などの支払いを拒否したという。 その際、警察署へと連れて行かれた2人だが、カーが暴言を吐いたとされていた。警察官のボディカメラに映像が残っており、カーが「正直に言うと、あなたたちは本当にバカで白人だ。目を見て言うけど、あなたたちは本当にバカだ。このクソみたいなことにうんざりしている」と発言している姿が残っていた。カーは発言こそ否定しなかったが、容疑は否定していた。 陪審員は4時間にわたる審議の上、カーを無罪にすることを決定。判決後の声明でカーは「ようやくこの困難な時期を乗り越えることができました」とし、「トラウマ的な夜に不適切な発言をしたことを謝罪します。一方で、私は常に、誰かを侮辱したり傷つけたりするつもりはなかったと主張してきましたし、陪審員が全員一致で同意してくれたことに感謝します」とした。 さらに「私はピッチに戻ることに完全に集中しており、私と家族にとってエキサイティングな1年になることを楽しみにしています」と、今シーズンの活躍を誓った。 2025.02.12 19:45 Wed

セリーナ・ウィリアムズ夫のIT長者オハニアン氏がチェルシーウィメンの株式取得! 浜野まいかも在籍のイングランド屈指の強豪

テニス界のスーパースターであるセリーナ・ウィリアムズの夫で、ソーシャルメディアサイト『Reddit』の共同創設者として知られるアレクシス・オハニアン氏が、チェルシー・ウィメンの株式を取得した。 オハニアン氏はX(旧ツイッター)で「私はこれまでも女子スポーツに大金を投じてきた。そして今回もまたそうだ。この象徴的なクラブが、すべてのアメリカ人のお気に入りのチーム(WSL)となり、それ以上の活躍をすることに貢献できる機会を得られたことを光栄に思う。チェルシー万歳!」と、少数株主になったことを明かした。 なでしこジャパンのFW浜野まいかも所属するチェルシーウィメンは先日にウィメンズ・スーパーリーグ(WSL)を無敗優勝し、史上初の6連覇を達成したイングランド屈指の強豪チーム。 IT長者として知られるオハニアン氏は同クラブの株式10%を2000万ポンド(約38億7000万円)で取得した。今後はクラブの取締役に就任し、妻ウィリアムズもクラブに関わると見込まれている。 オハニアン氏は以前、ナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカー・リーグ(NWSL)所属のエンジェル・シティFCの筆頭株主だった。また、同氏は女子陸上競技大会「アスロスNYC」の創設者でもある。 なお、オハニアン氏とウィリアムズは17日にウェンブリー・スタジアムで行われる女子FAカップ決勝にも出席する予定。チェルシーウィメンは国内3冠達成を目指すこの試合でマンチェスター・ユナイテッドと対戦する。 2025.05.15 17:25 Thu
