そのネイマールは、10月21日に行われたAFCチャンピオンズリーグエリート(ACLE)のリーグステージ第3節のアル・アイン戦に出場し復帰。サウジアラビアでのキャリアをやっと歩み出せるかと思われたが、4日に行われたACLE第4節のエステグラル戦で途中出場も右ハムストリングを痛めて途中交代となっていた。
本人は重傷ではないとしていた中、クラブは検査の結果を発表。右ハムストリングの肉離れとし、4〜6週間の離脱になると見られている。
1年間プレーしていなかったこともあり、その反動も考えられれるが、大金を叩いて獲得したにも関わらず、ここまでたったの7試合1ゴール1アシストという状況。完全に不良債権化してしまっている状況だ。

ネイマールのサントス復帰が正式発表! 12年ぶりに10番が帰還

ACLEのベスト16対戦カードが決定! 準々決勝以降はサウジアラビアで集中開催、優勝賞金は18億円【ACLE2024-25】
