ジェズス監督は昨季のサウジ・プロ・リーグとカップで2冠を達成

2023-24シーズンはサウジ・プロ・リーグで見事に優勝を果たし、カップ戦でも優勝を果たすと、今シーズンはサウジ・プロ・リーグで2位につけていた。

そんな中、AFCチャンピオンズリーグ・エリート(ACLE)ではベスト8に進出。準々決勝で光州FC(韓国)を7-0で圧倒したものの、準決勝ではアル・アハリ・サウジに1-3で敗れて敗退。クラブは監督交代に踏み切ることとなった。2日に経営陣との会談が行われ、契約解除の交渉で合意に至ったとのことだ。

6月に行われるクラブ・ワールドカップ(W杯)にも出場するアル・ヒラルだが、シーズン終盤に監督交代を決断。ジェズス監督にはブラジル代表指揮官就任の噂もあり、去就が注目されていた。

なお、アシスタントコーチを務めていたモハメド・アル・シャルフーブ氏が指揮を執ることも決定。現役時代はサウジアラビア代表としても活躍し、アル・ヒラル一筋でプレー。公式戦467試合で87ゴール77アシストを記録していた。

ネイマールがSNSで古巣サントスへの復帰を発表!

アル・ヒラルがブラジルの逸材FWを64億円で獲得! サントスの大先輩ネイマールとの共演に期待
