2022年にヴィトーリアから完全移籍で大分へ加入し、昨年は明治安田生命J2リーグで22試合1得点を記録したサムエル。だが、J1復帰へ向けた今季始動のタイミング、1月17日のトレーニングで負傷し、右アキレス腱断裂と診断された。

今月12日には、ブラジルへ一時帰国したことが発表された。大分の公式X(旧:ツイッター)は空港での写真とともに、「大分でともに戦いましょう。フィールドに戻ってくる日を待っています」と綴った。

患部を固定し、車いすで保安検査場へ向かうサムエルは、スタッフへ向けて気丈にサムアップ。ファンやサポーターからは「復活した時に今まで以上のストライカーになって戻ってきてください!」、「怪我を治してパワーアップして帰って来てね」、「待ってるぞサムカ」、「9番のユニ着て待ってます」など、エールが送られることとなった。

大分、町田MF髙橋大悟を期限付き移籍で獲得!「オファーをいただけた事を本当にありがたく思います」

「超かっこいい」「絶対欲しいじゃん」大分がクラブ30周年で『進撃の巨人』とコラボ! 2万名にシャツをプレゼントで話題「2万円出してもいいレベル」
