今月の代表ウィークでポーランド代表の招集を受けたジエリンスキ。しかし、18日に行われたユーロ2024予選第9節のチェコ代表戦は体調不良のため欠場していた。
PZPNの発表によれば、ジエリンスキは代表のチームドクターの検査で狭心症と診断されたとのこと。その後、すぐに治療を受けたジエリンスキだが、トレーニングや21日に行われるラトビア代表との国際親善試合に参加できるほどには回復せず、ひと足先に所属先のナポリに戻ることになった。
既にユーロ2024予選を終えてグループ2位以内の可能性が消滅したポーランドだが、UEFAネーションズリーグ2022-23の結果により予選プレーオフの進出が決定しており、本大会出場への望みを繋いでいる。
